Position Overview

We have an exciting opportunity to support the rapid growth of our business at the Home Office in Austin, TX! Reporting to our Sr Director of Paid & Owned Marketing, the Marketing Segmentation Manager will lead strategic planning using customer data and insights. The focus will be primarily on marketing (email/SMS and paid media) while working in close collaboration with e-commerce for unified omnichannel planning. This role is deeply cross-functional, requiring partnerships across marketing, e-commerce, and IT for success.

Responsibilities:
Data & Technology
  • Partner closely with analytics & personalization and data warehouse/data science teams to determine actionable opportunities for using customer data and insights in marketing.
  • Develop a solid understanding of systems and how data flows between them and is stored within them.
  • Drive deeper connectivity across the marketing technology ecosystem (with a particular focus on email/SMS, loyalty, e-commerce, and IT).
  • Assist in the evaluation and integration of new platforms & tools that will help drive the segmentation strategy and achieve business objectives.

Strategic Planning
  • Own roadmap of marketing personalization/segmentation/targeting across channels, partnering with e-commerce on their roadmap to ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Consult with the email/SMS team in developing additional journeys for new and existing customers, including triggered emails and loyalty communications.
  • Work with paid media team & agency to identify targeting opportunities based on first-party data and customer insights.
  • Lead strategy around the use of personas in marketing planning.
  • Identify KPIs for measuring the success of marketing segmentation.
  • Influence the promotional planning process by sharing insights on customer engagement with various promo and message types.
  • Understand the messaging calendar, marketing campaigns, and brand priorities to support priority customer segments.
  • Assist as needed for set up and execution of segmented messages via email and SMS.
  • Assist in developing a testing cadence to discover the best marketing practices to use within each customer segment, in partnership with channel owners and e-commerce.
  • Partner with e-commerce and marketing stakeholders to present findings on a weekly/monthly/ongoing cadence.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience for a high-growth company
  • A proven ability to execute with consistent delivery and reprioritize based on evolving business needs
  • Experience creating actionable insights from data for marketing programs.
  • Working knowledge of martech and experience partnering with IT/e-commerce teams to build integrated systems.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing marketing automation for email campaigns, social media, and content creation, delivering personalized messaging across multiple channels, and efficiently managing communication workloads at scale.
  • Previous experience with owned channels (email, SMS, and referral programs) preferred. '
  • Previous experience partnering with paid media teams preferred.
  • Previous B2C e-commerce experience preferred.
  • Retail experience preferred.
  • A strong ability to build cross-functional partnerships, work collaboratively, and react swiftly to changes.

To grow within the role, we expect to see:
  • Build the overall personalization strategy, defining key segments and partnering with marketing channel owners to build journeys and personalized campaigns to support each priority segment.
  • Work with the Customer Analytics team to measure the impact and efficiency of each experiment, document and socialize findings, and develop future strategies based on findings.
  • Optimize programs that support the lifecycle marketing strategy for Kendra Scott's customers, including acquisition, engagement, and retention programs.
  • Serve as a cross-functional leader in Marketing conversations and recommend how and where segmentation fits into overall goals.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, best-in-class campaigns, and new technologies that will drive business forward.
  • Identify opportunities for process and communication improvements and drive changes forward.
