The Event Strategy and Marketing Americas Lead will be an integral part of the Americas Marketing Leadership team at Capgemini and will be responsible for leading the region's event strategy, planning, and execution. They will partner across all teams and agencies as a strong communicator working collaboratively to bring all programming to life, streamlining processes and encouraging efficiencies. This role will report to the Americas Chief Marketing Officer and will be a partner to the business in driving overall Capgemini Americas' and Geo specific event strategy and delivering real business results.

We are seeking an event marketing powerhouse who will be responsible for actively measuring event performance and value, as well as working collaboratively across the organization to drive attendance and optimize the value of our events.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for formulation of event marketing strategy from beginning to end and implementation of marketing activities to achieve event revenue goals.
  • Plan and complete a robust event calendar of small, medium and large-scale events to support overall goals of elevating brand awareness, driving demand for our offerings, and supporting sales goals.
  • Drive all aspects of event value performance from pre-event planning, establishing MQL goals, driving meetings during the event, and post-event lead tracking, follow up and reporting.
  • Strong management of external (third-party) relationships, including sourcing, negotiating and contracting with vendors (agencies, vendors) and work with internal teams: marketers, business and sales leaders, procurement, preferred suppliers, event managers, creative, campaigns team, lead gen, social, sponsorships, etc.
  • Lead a comprehensive event budget and continue to streamline the internal policies, including event approvals, legal reviews, procurement and accounts payable process.
  • Work with events organizers to promote speakers on official conference program and to showcase events that include Capgemini customer stories or client speakers.
  • Oversee all pre, onsite and post event activities, activations, logistics, analytics and reporting; Onsite management of events when required.

Required Skills

  • 8+ years experience in event and tradeshow management experience in a large, matrixed, multinational organization.
  • A collaborative marketer, passionate about creating amazing event experiences and integrated client journeys.
  • Committed team leader with a proven track record in leading, mentoring and inspiring teams.
  • Outstanding project management skills and experience, including handling multiple cross-functional internal collaborators, partners, and events vendors.
