We're hiring a Head of Event Content Strategy, Operations & Production to join the Global Events reporting to the Head of Events. In this new role, you'll develop the content strategy across the global event portfolio including proprietary events and third-party industry events. It requires an experienced global event content leader who is passionate about being a people manager, managing a team of 3+ full-time employees and contractors. You are well-versed in both digital and in-person events, and have experience defining and delivering successful event agendas, content frameworks, event messaging and breakout programs. You are an master collaborator who can align our event content to the broader event portfolio strategy, GTM objectives, and our brand.

This role is remote with travel, both domestic and international, anticipated up to 25% of the time.

  • Lead the content strategy, production and content ops team comprised of 3+ full-time staff and contractors, along with part-time agency teams.
  • Identify content needs and manage the content development process for all events end-to-end including strategy development, project management, production timelines, and event agendas; including identifying the right partners to provide input for content direction, and collaborate with on content development.
  • Manage the breakout program end-to-end, including launching call for speakers, managing track committees, lead session grading and selections, speaker communications and speaker preparation, session scheduling and more.
  • Leverage and amplify attendee and customer feedback in content strategy development, including surveys and focus groups.
  • Work internally to identify, recruit, and coordinate with the best SME speakers for sessions.
  • Schedule and manage production meetings, tech checks and speaker rehearsals.
  • Develop plans to syndicate event content into marketing campaigns post-event; enabling events to function as lifecycle marketing content generator.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to understand key messaging and product roadmaps in order to build successful content strategy for a multitude of events.


  • 10+ years of experience of enterprise technology event management or marketing experience.
  • 6+ years of experience managing a team of 10+ full-time direct reports, both FTE and contractor.
  • Diverse experience in roles on both the corporate side and with event logistics or production agencies.
  • International project management experience including experience with localization and translation.
  • Event content strategy experience including proprietary events, CxO events and industry events.
  • Expertise in bringing team members together and helping manage teams through change.
  • Experience in omni-channel campaigns, messaging and lead generation activities specific to events.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable and explainable compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.

In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $153,900 - $205,200

Zone B: $138,600 - $184,700

Zone C: $127,800 - $170,400

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
