Sales Account Manager - nVent Schroff

London, United Kingdom / Remote

WHAT WILL YOU EXPERIENCE:

This sales position requires an in-depth understanding of the hardware architecture of embedded systems. Especially where these systems are used in the railroad, defense, telecommunications and test and measurement sectors. You will be part of an experienced and lively Sales Team based here in the UK! Your strategy will be also supported by an excellent technical team, for quoting and support.

Work will require meeting with customers in the field and will include meetings with customers after normal business hours. This role includes 60% travel time with potential overnight travel. Valid driver's license required.

  • Maintain relationships with our valued end customers and channel partners. Our team has a strong customer base of users and potentials.
  • Ensure a balanced Prospect and Sales Lead driven database, managed through our CRM, Sales Force database
  • Build confidence to secure new business.
  • Ensure strong technical support for both our Account Managers and customers by being involved in all aspects of Pre-sales activities and maintaining a close partnership with our wonderful Customer Care Team
  • The motivation to be able to work remotely, visit customers and connect via Team is key to the success of this position
  • Hold responsibility for the achievement of the sales quota in a defined Territory and Vertical market customer base.


YOU HAVE:
  • Technical qualification in electrical engineering is preferred
  • Ideally 5+ years proven sales experience in the electrical or industrial market
  • Confirmed skills associated with selling to multiple types of customers
  • Ability to develop positive relationships in the assigned account markets to assess trends/conditions, and translate these into opportunities to deliver value according to timelines given
  • You are skilled in defining and quantifying opportunities through customer research!
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present your views in a clear and compelling manner and to deliver effective presentations or proposals.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM program
