Strategic Account Manager

Griesheim, Germany / Remote

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

Develop and strengthen relationships with assigned Strategic Account Partners (Rexel & Sonepar) at both the country level and locally to capitalize on sales alignments, leverage nVent's scale and drive profitable growth. The role will imply up to 60% domestic travel.

  • Build and implement growth-orientated sales and marketing plans with Partners by gaining agreement and establishing measures of performance to drive mutual accountability and performance
  • Partner with Field Sales teams to ensure quality and responsiveness for all support provided, sales plan execution, and continually strive to improve with the aim of driving an "outstanding ease of doing business experience" for Rexel and Sonepar at the country-level.
  • Implement channel strategies to drive nVent growth across three Segments. Map out the total available market with the Rexel & Sonepar, competitive analysis and layout a strategic one, three, and five-year growth plan to achieve shared goals.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts, terms, and rebate programs with Strategic Account Partners with a goal of delivering profitable growth.
  • Work with cross functional teams (sales, marketing, operations and finance) required to drive sales activity and achieve annual financial objectives. Monitors distributor orders/shipments/POS as related to accomplishing annual plan goals - initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate and engage in positioning nVent in digital marketing and digital transformation plans of the Rexel & Sonepar to take advantage of digital marketing and ecommerce opportunities with each account.
  • Coordinate and attend executive-level meetings with the Rexel & Sonepar to gain mindshare and hold mutual accountability
  • Able to successfully collaborate with local sales teams from each Segment to establish awinning sales strategy

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in business, marketing, distribution or engineering. MBA is a plus.
  • Ideally 10+ years in industrial sales management or a distribution management role with 5+ years distributor sales experience in an electrical, electronic or industrial market. Previous experience in working with Rexel & Sonepar is a strong advantage.
  • Proficient in German and English
  • Consistent record of teamwork, negotiation, and influencing skills!
  • Ability to handle distributor disagreement while maintaining composure and integrity
  • Valid driver's license required.
