Wipro is looking for a senior Program me Director to work in Germany on a permanent basis. The Program me D irector role resides within Wipro's FullStride Cloud Global Business Line, the role is accountable for the delivery and leadership of Wipro's global integrated IT change programs (typical values above $20M).

The successful candidate will work on organisationally comple x and often transformational Program's which span multi-cultural and geographic environments. Th is role is strategic and will enable Wipro to deliver on its ambition by creating close and trusted relationships with our clients whilst being aligned to their emerging needs.

Main Purpose of the role

A creative thinker with strong process and change background, including experience of "scale delivery" on large Transformational Programmes in a least one of; Financial Services, Health, Retail, Energy & Utilities, Telco or Government sectors.

Engaging with the bid/deal teams to help shape workable plans into "delivery ready" solutions ready for customer review in sales/solution cycle. With full responsibility of the Programme end to end, including contract negotiation and shift into live mobilisation.

We are looking for individuals who have the gravitas and experience to instil confidence in the customer that they understand and are actively managing the risks, challenges and interventions required for transformation. A skilled negotiator who can overcome obstacles, steer the customer and gain agreement to new proposals.

The Programme Director is responsible for ensuring the solution is aligned to the needs of the customer; operationally informed; commercially astute; and offers lean and effective processes. Working closely with the business heads, pre-sales, account executives and other sponsors within Wipro; including across Global Business Lines (GBL).

Oversee the day-to-day development and delivery of solutions through the stages of mobilisation, design, implementation and into BAU steady state. Engaging the service teams via a culture of trust to manage pro-actively cost and margin towards continuous improvement. A key tenet is the ability to use sustainable and cost effective globalised delivery; including India, Romania and Poland.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Create and drive business led "delivery transformation" ensuring that appropriate integrated plans are generated and aligned across Wipro service lines to meet commitments.
  • Accountable for the successful delivery of the program 'end to end' - delivering the required outcomes and success criteria with accountability for value creation and achieving the required contractual, operational and financial performance.
  • At the solutioning stage, clearly define the shape and structure of the program and ensure clarity of scope around milestone delivery to enable revenue collection at agreed junctures throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Responsible for leading a large global multi-faceted team ; providing thought l eadership, direction, guidance, coaching and mentoring . Identify & develop key talent whilst ensuring the team are continuously aligned, inspired and motivated.
  • Actively maintain the Programme Plan, working with the PMO to ensure prudent controls are deployed to meet agreed margin & revenue targets; using best practice tools, eRLS, resource forecasts and milestone billing
  • Design and develop high-quality, tailored and costed transformation solutions in collaboration with bid teams and other SME's to achieve customers goals, including the support of the business case to enable funds to be allocated
  • Primary responsibility for the delivery assessment and oversight on major bids to apply current knowledge of the IT services sector to define transformative strategies and roadmaps leading to operational efficiencies for our clients;
  • Acting as review and escalation point for all solution related activities during programme delivery to ensure the appropriate and timely intervention and course correction;
  • Ensure designs and solutions created by key personnel minimise the financial exposure whilst optimising profitability and business benefit;
  • Focusing teams towards solutions containing re-usability and convergence across our customer base towards the use of WIPRO business and application architecture; defining road-maps and solution development for strategic review over life of contract
  • Support an effective handover to the BAU/SDM delivery team from mobilising towards Transition into service and then ensuring that BAU operations are supported whilst undertaking the service Transformation plans;
  • Continuously manage program risks and dependencies and conduct program health assessments through critical and objective assessment, implementing appropriate re-orientation / recovery strategies where required

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience skills and behaviours:
  • Previous experience in large scale Programme Delivery within IT infrastructure including Datacentre & hybrid cloud, digital workplace and enterprise network. Having managed global managed services contracts for service delivery in transition, transformation and steady state phases.
  • Experience of successfully conceptualising and delivering transformation strategies linked to sound business cases
  • Ability to manage customer stakeholders with tact and firmness to enable the best outcomes and commercial outcomes with strong governance and controls
  • Represent Wipro as a trusted advisor with senior customer executives and be the "face off Wipro" at executive business reviews and customer board meetings,
  • Comfortable with regular Germany travel to customer locations as required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility at board level as well as at operational delivery level
  • Experience of successfully working in a matrix delivery structure would be advantageous
  • Proven experience of delivering excellence in response to high client expectations & large levels of ambiguity
  • Managed large teams, complex projects, including remote delivery teams from global locations e.g. India, Romania and Poland
  • Lead and manage project team/s, including internal and external project staff, to deliver all key project/s milestones and outcomes
