DESCRIPTION:
Protecting enterprises from hackers and other bad actors is becoming a critical role in every business. Security engineering plays a vital role in building out cybersecurity and data privacy capabilities as well as advising the CISO. This role leads the first line of defense in responding to security alerts. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the cybersecurity of our infrastructure from for networks, laptops, servers, and SaaS applications following a Zero Trust model
  • Work with CISO, legal, and compliance teams on data privacy initiatives
  • Own the configuration, tuning, and design of alerting for our infrastructure: CrowdStrike, Zscaler, our SIEM, and other tooling
  • Immediately conduct comprehensive analysis and investigation on a wide range of security events and implement remediation measures
  • Lead our SIRP process
  • Manage our SOC
  • Stay up to date on the latest cybersecurity news, trends, and threat intelligence
  • Advise on options, risks, system impacts, best practices, and technology priorities
  • Remediate security and data privacy gaps identified by penetration testing, tooling, and third-party assessments

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and five to 10 years of increasing responsibility in an IT environment.
  • 7+ years of security engineering experience in a mid-sized environment with a strong focus
  • Proven working experience securing Saas Applications and Zero Trust
  • In depth understanding of technology infrastructure and related processes
  • Willingness to continuously learn
  • Problem solving skills and ability to think strategically
  • Effective communication to leadership
  • 5+ years leadership and management
