Lead Cyber Security Engineer - Remote

What's the role?

• Triage, investigate and resolve security incidents raised from multiple sources, following established playbooks, including but not limited to
  • Phishing email reports
  • SIEM/SOAR based alerts (Splunk)
  • Security alerts from our cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
  • Endpoint Detection and Response system alerts (CrowdStrike)
  • Host based proxy alerts (Zscaler)
  • Various abuse reports
  • Account compromises
• Help improve Incident Response Processes by providing feedback and tracking metrics to team leadership
• Perform threat analysis of emerging threats and report back to management on findings and recommendations
• Stay on top of the latest attacker tactics, techniques and procedures to discover sophisticated threats in the network.
• Articulate security incident details to business stakeholders and non-technical individuals.

Who are you?

Lead Cyber Security Engineer is an individual contributor focused on Security Incident Response and Forensics. The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant work experience
• Sound knowledge of cyber incident response process and incident handling, GCIH/GCIA/GNFA or equivalent certifications a plus
• Malware Analysis -  should be able to reverse engineer and analyze behavior of malware to be able to assess impact and suggest remediation actions to address malware infections in multiple environments - Linux, Windows, Mac OSX
• Forensics evidence collection -  Lead security engineer should have a good understanding of activities required for forensics evidence collection and analysis, Lead security engineer should be able to collect and analyze forensics evidence following legal requirements and industry best practices
• Security knowledge - Lead security engineer should have a good knowledge of modern attack vectors, attack execution patterns and exploitation techniques
• Communications skills -  Fluent English language skills
