Position Summary...

We are looking for a Manager, Specialty Ethics and Compliance to support our Compliance Team. The Manager, Specialty Ethics and Compliance will support the development, operation, and administration of VIZIO’s compliance programs related to hardware product safety compliance other internal compliance programs as assigned.

The Manager, Specialty Ethics and Compliance position is based in Irvine, California, and is expected to be in-office five days a week. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals within a fast-paced environment.

Our Compliance and Ethics team operates with a mission to maintain the highest standards of integrity and regulatory adherence. We collaborate closely with various departments to ensure our products meet all safety standards and legal requirements. As a Manager, Specialty Compliance, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing our compliance strategies, thus contributing to Walmart’s commitment to safety and excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate and manage the company’s product safety compliance program.
  • Provide cross-functional support to teams involved in the compliance program.
  • Consult with legal counsel to ensure ongoing compliance with evolving laws.
  • Assist in regulatory reporting and updating compliance programs.
  • Provide training on product safety regulations and best practices.
  • Create and present compliance program metrics.
  • Support various compliance activities as needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • Expertise in product safety compliance and related laws (e.g., Consumer Product Safety Act).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting and compliance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field and 1 year’s experience in human resources, ethics and compliance, corporate communications, or related area OR 3 years’ experience in human resources, ethics and compliance, corporate communications, or related area.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Consumer Product Safety Commission and 15b reporting required
  • Experience with UL 62368-1 product safety specification
  • Bachelor's degree required, with a degree in engineering, compliance, or law preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in product safety compliance

The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$186,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
