RCM Specialty Testing Revenue Analyst - Remote

This position is responsible for analytical and project support related to Specialty Testing accounts receivable and reimbursement
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will act as an internal conduit to gather, share and report information as it relates to the processes associated with specialty testing billing, related system behaviors and/or challenges and claims outcomes

- Requires the ability to learn and work within numerous operating systems (both laboratory and billing) and the ability to apply the varying system workflows to billing workflows to achieve expected outcomes, which often requires development and implementation of new billing workflows
- Performs research, data mining, evaluation, analysis, and validation of complex specialty testing data to understand trends, facilitating well-informed decisions
- Manages information needs of multiple cross-functional stakeholders to inform them of reimbursement issues and/or changes
- • Produce interactive dashboards and statistical control charts to communicate information to management to promote the decision-making process in new project or workflow developments
- Collaborates across all RCM functions to drive improvements, increase efficacy, and implement best practices
- Ability to effectively make decisions that are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization
- Creates and maintains datasets and or databases required for routine and specialty ad hoc reporting
- Makes sound recommendations to management for new workflows for complex tasks and processes
- Assist in the development, implementation, and documentation of workflow processes for all aspects of specialty support (e.g., appeals, prior authorizations, etc.)
- Initiative-taker and ability to review global issues and initiate appropriate resolution
- Must possess an intermediate or advanced skill set within Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access). Experience with data-analytic applications such as PowerBI is a plus
- Diverse technical skillset; understands the systems, mechanics, and workflows of Labcorp and specialty labs for data collection and interpretation (ADL, EGL, OmniSeq, PGDX, etc.)
- Takes on additional projects as needed to assist management and their peers
- Ability to understand and translate LCLS/LCBS data and apply it to specialty testing projects and analysis
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree is required (or additional experience is required)
- 7+ years of experience analyzing and manipulating large data sets
- Experience in a revenue cycle healthcare or a Third-Party payer setting
- Knowledge of payer contracts, medical terminology, commercial and government health insurance, and billing guidelines
- Sound analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
Additional Experience:
- Advanced level of proficiency in MS Excel is preferred
- LCLS/LCBS and Diagnostic RCM experience is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of payer contracts, medical terminology, commercial and government health insurance, and billing guidelines
- Sound analytical and critical thinking skills
- Experience with SAS, Crystal Reporting, Business Objects, or similar tools preferred
- Power BI experience a plus
- Alteryx experience a plus

Pay Range: $$60,400.00 - $80,000.00 a year
All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
