We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the End User Computing Business Unit (EUCBU) product team with a specific focus on developing our UEM products for Apple devices.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be a senior member of the Product Team and in charge of product definition, roadmap, and direction of features in Workspace ONE UEM. You will work cross-functionally with user experience, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success to create innovative products and services.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

  • Define and prioritize product features, requirements, and roadmaps for macOS device management and macOS products, based on market and customer insights, competitive analysis, and internal feedback.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Apple ecosystem, including hardware, operating system(s), applications, and security, and leverage this knowledge to drive product innovation and differentiation.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure the successful execution of product development plans, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, messaging, and positioning for Apple-based products, and support them in delivering compelling product demos, webinars, and presentations.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, customer feedback, and industry trends, and use this data to inform product decisions and optimizations.
  • Participate in customer engagements, including product demos, workshops, and advisory boards, to gather feedback, validate product concepts, and build strong relationships.
  • Produce a clear MVP definition and roadmap and work collaboratively with engineering to execute on it through proper prioritization.
  • Present technical presentations to customers, partners, and the field, and gather feedback to influence product and solution offerings.
  • Manage escalations and collaborate with engineering, support, and customer success teams to ensure customer issues are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Work with Apple to ensure support for Workspace ONE UEM on their devices.
  • Work with Apple partners to develop or support joint go to market opportunities.

The Work: What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of Apple macOS, the Apple ecosystem, macOS device management and enterprise macOS applications / use cases. You will have the drive and desire to define and evangelize the set of features and solutions that will support VMware Workspace ONE's growth for Apple devices. Given the current state of the program, we are looking for an experienced Product Manager that thrives and excels in the growth phase of a product, is not scared of competition, complexity, and is truly passionate about solving customer problems.

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Technical Marketing Manager, Product Marketing Manager, Systems Engineer, macOS System Administrator or Customer Solution Architect.


  • At least 3 years of experience in a Product Management role.
  • Strong technical background, with experience of Apple devices, macOS device management and/or macOS system administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and support, and drive product development from ideation to launch.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment, with a deep understanding of agile methodologies and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven product decisions.
  • Passion for innovation, customer advocacy, and continuous improvement.
  • Obsess about customers, users, and their needs.
  • Passionate technologist, ready to evangelize within and outside of VMware.
  • Experience working with and understanding the needs of End Users and the management of their devices - cradle to grave.
  • Strong leadership and communications skills, willingness to mentor others
  • Experience working with technology hardware and software partners.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong background in managing Apple macOS in an enterprise environment.
  • Track record of shipping enterprise software products.
  • Previous technical experience of MDM or UEM products and solutions.
  • Experience with delivering cloud-based services.
  • Experience in building out investment justification for new products or services.
  • Strong propensity to drive for results as part of a high performing team.

Where is this role located?

Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager. You will be expected to live within a reasonable non-daily commute of the office.

For US based candidates, the annual pay range (OTE for commissioned roles; Salary for other roles) for this position is: $116,000 - $277,000. The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
