The Event Researcher is responsible for organizing Asian Legal Business (ALB) events, such as its series of award programmes and events across Asia. The incumbent is primarily responsible for managing the nomination and judging process for the awards and the promotion of awards processes, mainly via online marketing, eDM, social media marketing, telephone, and more. This role may also consist of all aspects of work within the Awards business segment and requires a meticulous attitude toward tasks and a positive personality toward customers and other stakeholders.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Event Researcher, you will:

  • Manage the research for law awards, including the preparation of nomination forms, award methodology and judging packs
  • Conduct research to identify opportunities and target markets for local and regional events
  • Identify, invite and secure the award finalists, judges and prestigious guests, working closely as part of the team to coordinate the regional efforts
  • Manage event marketing via e-mail campaigns, website, social media and other platforms.
  • Coordinate the production of events from conception to completion
  • Assist with the on-site logistical management of events
  • Conduct pre and post-event evaluation, including data, analysis and reports
  • Work closely with other team functions such as sales, circulation and editorial in order to carry out the awards process smoothly and successfully.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Event Researcher, if your background includes:

  • Degree or above, strong spoken and written English skills
  • Strong research, analytical and organizational capability
  • Able to work independently, multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders and customers in a positive and interactive manner, creating a strong customer experience
  • 3 years of awards organization, event research, marketing or project management experience is desirable, work experience in regional events/projects is preferred.
  • Knowledge in legal or financial industry is beneficial but not essential
  • Position requires occasional travel (up to 8 times a year), subject to business needs
