Boeing is currently seeking a Lead Methods Process Analyst to join their team in Sheffield, UK.

Qualified candidates will have the unique opportunity to design, stabilize, improve, and transform production systems and processes to achieve world class operational excellence for some of the world's most sophisticated aircraft and systems.

Position responsibilities
  • Directs and leads a team of analysts and engineers in the Industrial Engineering team at Boeing Sheffield, reporting to a First Line Manger, to implement and maintain the production schedule, maximize the efficiency of equipment and personnel, reducing inventory, and meeting cost and schedule requirements.
  • Guides daily team priorities and deliverables
  • Acts as a source of training for less experienced analysts and engineers
  • Directs and leads the analysis of the current and future business environment by developing forecasts, acquisition, and utilization plans to optimize resources in support of company initiatives
  • Oversees, develops and supports shop performance metrics, monitors performance to plan
  • Oversees analysis of cost, schedule, resource, and delivery impacts for new or revised work packages
  • Implements process improvements utilizing standard lean tactics and problem solving methodologies to maximize resource efficiency

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Highly competent written and verbal communication skills essential to effectively communicate with all levels of leadership.
  • Experience leading a team, working independently and cross-functionally
  • Experience with schedule and process management, customer communication, as well as understanding of execution of program planning to ensure cost, schedule and technical baseline requirements are met
  • Ability to gather data for process improvements and understand statement of work requirements
  • Ability to observe, document, and collect data in a machining production environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word) with the ability to compile and present reports of a technical nature

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field, or equivalent
  • Experience in the implementation of Lean/OneBPS techniques
  • Proficient using SAP and Apriso (or similar MRP software) for production planning and scheduling
