General

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager - Integration for EASA Commercial modifications, the Engineering Manager - EASA Proposals leads the EASA Proposal team and coordinates all activities supporting the development of EASA modifications proposals for our customers, leading to new program activity. The successful candidate will bring with them leadership, mentoring and decision-making skills.

This is a fast-paced role, requiring the candidate to be able to manage and delegate their workload priorities and meet deadlines effectively. An ability to communicate with all levels of staff, management and customers is essential.

The candidate will perform their role with integrity and have a strong sense of responsibility and pride both in their work and the work of the broader team.

Management Duties
  • Must be able to deal with management at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Communicates effectively with customers, sales and marketing teams
  • Manages a team of non-management employees
  • Manages the progress of customer requests through to proposal submittals
  • Works with available resources to best meet customer needs and deadlines
  • Sets and monitors priorities for team members

  • Must act in a professional manner in order to protect and enhance the Company's reputation as a world leader in aviation

Required Knowledge/Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working with sales teams and/or customers in developing quotations/proposals/estimations is essential
  • Knowledge of aircraft modifications business is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Boeing engineering systems is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of EASA CS25 requirements applicable to aircraft interiors is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of commercial aircraft interiors is highly desirable
  • Experience working within an EASA Part 21J design organization is highly desirable

Education Requirements
  • A recognized aeronautical or engineering degree, however other internationally recognized aeronautical qualifications will be considered based on technical knowledge and experience
  • Must be fluent in English both written and spoken
