Job Description:

Department Overview

The Wealth Platform Data Masters are a collection of active data stores that provide real time access to Client, Account, Organizational Hierarchy, Securities, Transaction, Positions and interactive abstraction layer to our backend book of record. In addition, the Data Masters team provides overnight processing of Market Data, Internal data source routing and detailed EOD Book of Record Consumption Processing. Together a team of over 150 Technical and Business Professionals are working both internally and across the Wealth and DaaS Product groups to ensure up to date data and information access for our Wealth Associates, Partner Applications and ultimately our TD Clients/ Customers.

Primary/Key Accountabilities

The Wealth Platform Data Masters Product Group is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to:

  • Elicit, manage, lead and oversee business and system requirements in alignment with TD standards and frameworks.
  • Identify, document and validate current state processes and capabilities.
  • Analyze impact to customers, stakeholders, employees, processes, and technology solutions.
  • Engage appropriate stakeholders to identify and manage required outcomes for the business.
  • Lead, motivate and develop relationships with the business, stakeholders, and technology partners to develop productive working relationships.
  • Maintain a Customer Centric Approach - Provide recommendations and direction based on the end-to-end customer experience.
  • Identify risks or issues that may impact realization of project benefits and provide guidance and support to stakeholders in making good decisions to pro-actively resolve or mitigate potential risks/delays to the project.
  • Contribute to team development of skills and capability through mentorship of junior/peer Business Analysts by sharing knowledge and experiences.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by embracing diversity in the workplace and supporting and proudly representing TD in the community.

Specific Accountabilities include:

  • Support development of a delivery approach and work plan while considering constraints, dependencies, and strategic drivers.
  • Plan and facilitate sessions to draw out requirements - both explicit and implicit, functional and non-functional
  • Understand, challenge, categorize, prioritize and document business requirements and support system requirements.
  • Engage, enable and lead stakeholders to final agreement of the requirements.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues, escalating where appropriate.
  • Support business with defining the business need or problem and identifying potential solution.
  • Deliverables include, but are not limited to, business requirements, business process design, business context diagram, use cases, data requirements and mapping, root cause and business analysis, impact analysis, alternatives and recommendations, work-around identification and documentation, report/dashboard/analytics design, and deployment support.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree is an asset.
  • Business Analysis Accreditation is an asset.
  • Must have a minimum of 5-7 years related Business Analysis experience including Agile methodology in the Financial Services Industry.
  • Experience with Scaled Agile and NEW, JIRA and/or SAFe Certifications would be an asset.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
  • Wealth Domain knowledge (including Securities).
  • Data experience and intermediate SQL skills.
  • Proactive and highly motivated individual with good work ethic and time management skills
  • An independent thinker with strong business acumen, analytical and conceptualization skills, and the ability to identify process improvements as necessary
  • Ability to learn quickly, promote a positive team environment, and exceed expectations with minimal supervision.

Hybrid = 2 days a week in the office
