Position Summary:

As the Program Manager of Selling & Engagement, you will be responsible for creating a strong selling and engagement culture, in your assigned business categories. You will create and shape tools and resources, partnering with cross functional teams, field leadership, as we develop programs, initiatives, offers, that supports Staples strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business owners to design and implement selling and engagement tools, resources, programs, and strategies across US Retail.
  • Ensure the design and development of selling and engagement programs focuses on speed and simplified execution to drive forecasted sales goals.
  • Work with cross functional business partners to coordinate training, communication, and execution of selling programs that drive conversion goals.
  • Solicit feedback from field partners as well as data and analytics team to quickly identify opportunities and early successes that can be quickly solved for or scaled to chain.
  • Provide ongoing selling and engagement support/feedback, in your assigned business categories. Flex as required, based on the needs of the business.
  • Follow up with any support needed in the field, on any program/product issues, related to selling and engagement.
  • Partner with field leadership teams, on providing any materials/presentations needed, to support kickoff meetings, calls, visits.
  • Analyze product and sales metrics within your assigned business categories, to ensure they are meeting company goals. Follow up and partner with field teams/cross functional partners, on reporting needs, cadence, visibility, based on feedback.
  • Coordinates and completes special projects, plans, fieldwork, or any other requested assignments to support selling and engagement team, and other related departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic:

  • 5-7+ minimum years of Retail management experience
  • B.A. or B.S
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Strong ability to leverage, connect and influence cross-functional partners, across the organization to drive results.
  • Strong project planning and management skills, with the ability to change and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Prior selling and customer engagement experience
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks effectively, complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Self-motivated individual and comfortable with leading discussions in a team environment, while actively listening
