Senior Marketing Operations Analyst

We’re looking for a Sr. Marketing Operations Analyst to join Team Snapchat!  As part of the Marketing Operations team, this role will drive cross-functional budget planning and reporting  which will aid key strategic business and operational decision making. The Sr. Marketing Operations Analyst will provide ongoing steers based on analyzing our financial and operational data, and building reporting infrastructures to allow key stakeholders to look at our quickly scaling business in various ways for optimal effectiveness and efficiencies.   

What you’ll do:

• Own beginning of year strategic budget forecasting process, along with Marketing stakeholders and Finance.

• Own and maintain the Marketing team’s budget, accrual, and variance reconciliation process - driving ongoing budget management, forecasting, accruals, and the team PO process (included but not limited to opening POs, working in Oracle, Anaplan, etc).

• Serve as the key strategic Marketing partner and collaborator for our Finance Partners to ensure accuracy across all finance reporting.

• Proactively analyze departmental budget forecasts on an ongoing basis as a trusted consultant to Marketing stakeholders and Leadership.

• Support Marketing’s annual and quarterly strategic planning and OKR process.

• Build, analyze, and maintain various reports and dashboards to aid in operational decision making.  

• Maintain, monitor, and improve KPIs to measure the effectiveness of operational activities, such as output, quality, velocity, and resource burn.

• Cultivate strong relationships with Marketing the organization across a variety of roles - Business & Consumer Marketer, Production, Business Affairs, Project Management and Media to better understand their budget/ finance and relative operational needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative and/or business field such as mathematics, economics, finance, and business

• 8+ years experience working in Financial Analytics, Marketing Operations, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides)

• Experience working in Financial systems preferred (Oracle, Anaplan)

• Experience working in Smartsheet or similar systems preferred 

• Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling

• Experience managing budgets and external vendors

• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem solving skills

• Superb verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge of the marketing data, systems, and tools, and the ability to provide strategic and proactive guidance.

• Analytical thinking, keen attention to detail and problem solving

• Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced setting

• Intellectual curiosity, drive and proactivity
