APAC Portfolio Development Manager (Digital Manufacturing)

We are looking for APACPortfolio Development Manager for our Digital Manufacturing portfolios. The portfolios are Siemens Digital Logistics (SDL) andSupplyframe (SF) and Product Cost Management (PCM). As part of APACzone Software Sales organization, this role will focus on manufacturingcompanies. The most importantconsideration after product innovation and quality is how costs affect theirability to compete in the global marketplace. Developing detailed costknowledge and maximum transparency across the entire value chain isindispensable for achieving excellent cost management. The successful candidate will advocate anddrive the development of allocated large, strategic portfolio domains throughthe identification of a clear target markets and go to market strategy, and theexecution of campaign focused strategies to leverage and maximize softwareopportunities.

As a Portfolio Development Manager,you would be expected to have a commercial background, experience of working ina costing function, or with techniques like purchase price analysis,design-to-cost, or target cost models etc. You would lead the APAC go-to-marketstrategy with a goal to maximise revenues from this Siemens Portfolio, workingclosely with Country organisations on developing regional plans and drivingsales pursuits.

This role is open only for candidates based in Tokyo (Japan) and Seoul (South Korea).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define clear market expectations for the chosen portfoliodomain.
  • Act as trusted advisor to Sales and Presales teams withinAPAC zone providing guidance on the planning, execution and measurement ofportfolio development activities.
  • Ensure Country / Vertical / Region portfolio execution plansprovide coverage for the Zone requirements.
  • Act as key point of contact for Country / Vertical / RegionSales and Channel teams for campaign knowledge and portfolio domain expertise.
  • Establish and track measurable goals for monitoring portfoliogrowth against each campaign and portfolio across Region or Zone providefeedback to Global PFDs on content and lessons learnt, and guidance forenhancements to improve materials.
  • Using strategic planning data, identify potential areas fornew Campaign development and drive their creation, within own portfolio.
  • Communicate and share best practices and lessons learntacross the Countries / Regions and evangelize globally.
  • Works on portfolio domains including campaigns of the highestcomplexity and strategic importance across the Digital Enterprise.
  • Works under self-management on assignments/pursuits and willdetermine solutions, methods and procedures.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring within and beyond Zone toothers on portfolio development approaches in specific portfolio domains.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalentprofessional qualification in Cost Management, Engineering or Manufacturing.MBA will be a plus.
  • 10+ years of business developmentexperience in costing solutions will be preferred.
  • Currently based in Singapore or Japanor Korea; ability to travel and communicate effectively with multiplenationalities and cultures.
  • Excellent communication skill inEnglish is a must. Additional communication skills in Korean or Japanese willbe a plus.
  • Good presentation skills, stronganalytical skills, demonstrates knowledge in fortune 1000 companies purchasingprocess and procedures related to cost and pricing controls.
  • Excellent knowledge and understandingfor the market trends.
  • Experience in a customer-facing salesor business development function.
  • Able to understand, articulate,position and present the value of costing solutions in the context of anIndustry (Automotive, Electronics & Semiconductor, Aerospace, other) andclient business.
  • Competitive landscape knowledge.
