Business Technology(Enterprise IT) blazes the trail of enterprise IT. We oversee technology strategy supporting Financial systems in Record to Report, Rev Rec, QTC and Tax with applications engineering, infrastructure, collaboration, enterprise operations, architecture, and program enablement.
Role Description:
Salesforce seeks a talented, self-directed, technical leader to manage software engineers on the Business Technology Application Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end management of tools, systems, and applications that support the Salesforce financial systems. You will collaborate with many teams across Business Technology, Record to Report, Rev Rec, and Tax teams to scale and enhance financial systems for the unparalleled growth of Salesforce.

Your Impact:
You will be responsible for hiring and retaining top engineers, growing the team and each individual on it, and helping guide our technical direction. The team will focus on implementing Financial systems along with required integrations and test automations.

In office expectations (Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA) are 10 days/a quarter to support customers and/or collaborate with their teams. This is not a remote opportunity.

Responsibilities

Hire and retain top engineering talent
Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, timelines, and resource requirements.
Drive the implementation and adoption of best practices in software engineering, including Agile methodologies and continuous integration/delivery.
Champion the utilization of MuleSoft and Workday for integration solutions, leveraging its capabilities to streamline business processes and enhance efficiency.
Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive test automation strategies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.
Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status updates effectively.
Occasional travel is involved

Experience/Skills Required

12+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of leadership and project delivery in cloud ERP Products such as Oracle / SAP / Workday, in end to end Q2C , Record to Report , Rev Rec and Tax
Strong understanding of engineering management principles, including team leadership, performance management, and talent development.
Experience managing vendor partners and teams extended with contractors
A keen eye for Innovation, Engineering / Operational Excellence, and Test Automation
Mulesoft Platform expertise preferred
Experience managing global team working out of multiple timezones
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience with agile/scrum methodology
