About the Role:

The Marketing team at PitchBook is critical to fueling the company’s growth by utilizing a variety of strategies to support our Sales and Customer Success departments grow and retain our client base. The Marketing team is responsible for all demand generation efforts by executing engaging campaigns, effective product marketing strategies, and attending client and trade-show events. The Marketing team is also responsible for promoting the PitchBook brand and managing internal communications.

As a performance marketing manager at PitchBook, you will be responsible for developing and executing effective paid search strategies catering to diverse audiences. Working collaboratively with agency partners, you will launch and optimize search engine marketing (SEM) and media campaigns across various platforms. This role involves monitoring campaign performance, conducting thorough analyses, and identifying opportunities for growth and optimization. Strategic keyword research, audience targeting, and formulation of campaign media strategics to achieve results will be central to your responsibilities. 

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute and strategize effective paid search strategies for different audiences 
  • Launch and optimize all SEM campaigns and oversee the accounts on various platforms in partnership with agency 
  • Monitor campaign performance and pacing to goals, perform recurrent and ad hoc analysis, and flag opportunities to grow or optimize 
  • Strategize keyword research, selection, and audience targeting 
  • Formulate campaign media strategies to achieve business priorities, marketing targets, performance goals, and KPIs 
  • Ideate, manage, and report on ongoing testing (A/B creative tests, conversion lift tests, etc.) and analyze data 
  • Partner with the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) team to improve overall brand visibility and drive maximum efficiency 
  • Set and track KPIs to assess performance and pinpoint any issues through the funnel 
  • Analyze results and develop new campaigns across multiple channels 
  • Maintain partnerships with ad platforms and vendors 
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors 
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 
  • 4+ year of paid search, paid social, media, and demand generation experience 
  • Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing concepts as well as data analysis and reporting 
  • Experience with ad platforms, Google, PMAX, Bing, LinkedIn, and Reddit 
  • Experience with B2B CRM platforms (Marketo and Salesforce) 
  • Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, Microsoft Excel) 
  • Familiarity with key media platforms and types 
  • Work well cross functionally and be able to build strong relationships to effectively partner across marketing teams  
  • Eager, can-do attitude with growth mindset 
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of urgency and follow-through 
  • Resourceful self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and adaptive to change

Compensation

  • Annual base salary: $75,300-$91,000
  • Target annual bonus percentage: 10%

 

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location. 

 

Working Conditions:

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
