Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks to fill the Support & Training Segment Business Manager Level 2 or Level 3, based out of our Roy, UT facility. #Sentinelbusmgmt

The Support & Training Segment Business Manager will have accountability for every aspect of day-to-day segment level business management execution. The Segment Business Manager will ensure the business management operations generates and delivers all types of information needed for the Segment and Program Leadership teams to make informed, effective decisions at the right time. The Segment Business Manager leads the Business Management support to program management office business rhythms across intra-segment IPTs, operations, and functions driving sustained rigor and compliance for weekly, monthly, and quarterly processes. The Segment Business Manager will partner with Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) functional Business Management leadership to ensure required staffing, processes and infrastructure are available to efficiently execute Business Management scope on the contract. The Segment Business Manager works closely with the Sentinel Program Business Management Director to align Segment Business Management Operations with strategic priorities and tactical tasking directed by program leadership. This position reports to the Sentinel Program Business Manager.

Business Manager responsibilities include:
  • Leading all aspects of day-to-day Segment Business Management execution to ensure timely, accurate, and complete business data/information delivery to program and segment leadership enabling effective decision making.
  • Leading a team of cost and schedule analysts implementing a fully compliant EVMS implementation
  • Lead Segment level development of AOP/LRSP financial and strategic commitments and strategies to achieve and exceed commitments.
  • Ensure day-to-day contractual and programmatic change management outcomes are properly incorporated into program cost/schedule baselines and forecasts.
  • Support alignment of staffing resource forecasts that leverage business management data to Segment level staffing demand signals across all labor disciplines.
  • Oversee Business Management participation on Supplier Management Teams and translation of Supplier/IWO business data into the NG Prime level business system.
  • Ensure robust Segment level support to Profit and Loss responsibilities in support of quarterly financial EACs and monthly financial keyline forecasts.
  • Ensure segment Business Management team has the tools, training, and resources to perform their roles and drive empowerment and decision making for Business Management equities to the appropriate levels.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively both verbally, and in writing with all levels of management.
  • Demonstrated success in empowering teams at the point of impact and fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3.

Basic Qualifications (Level 2):
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited University with 6 years of professional experience, OR Master's degree with 4 years of professional experience
  • 2+ years leading and/or managing teams on complex projects.
  • 2+ years leading business management teams in a fully compliant or deliberately tailored EVMS environment.
  • Experience with complex development programs with significant subcontractor or Inter/Intra company content.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and be Special Access Programs (SAP) clearable. US citizenship is a prerequisite.
Basic Qualifications (Level 3):
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited University with 8 years of professional experience, OR Master's degree with 6 years of professional experience
  • 2+ years leading and/or managing teams on complex projects.
  • 2+ years leading business management teams in a fully compliant or deliberately tailored EVMS environment.
  • Experience with complex development programs with significant subcontractor or Inter/Intra company content.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and be Special Access Programs (SAP) clearable. US citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications for Both Levels :
  • Defense, aerospace, or other related industry experience
  • MBA, master's degree in business related field or STEM field
  • Leadership experience with significant capture activities
  • Leadership experience with transition from development to production program phases
  • Experience with ICBM related programs and products
  • Experience with developing or supporting the development of AOP/LRSP plans and commitments.
  • Ability to make tough, risk-based decisions and steer decisions based on evolving information.
  • Active DoD Secret level security clearance and Active Special Access Programs (SAP). US citizenship is a prerequisite.
Salary Range: $108,400 - $162,600
Salary Range 2: $129,000 - $193,400

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
