Field Training Manager (Oncology)

Position Summary:

The general purpose of this role is to help develop and execute a training curriculum to assigned functional areas. This role will apply in depth knowledge of a specific area and work cross-functionally and cross-portfolio to facilitate trainings and deliver relevant training materials.

The position will work within a core learning and development support team made up of managers, team trainers, project managers and administrative staff. These teams work closely with internal and external partners/stakeholders to ensure alignment of training programs with organizational objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead on boarding process for all new Oncology new hires.
  • You will become an expert in Natera's technology and service offerings and be able to represent the company and its business interests: physicians and hospitals.
  • Help facilitate all new hire training.
  • Help lead sales training aspect at all corporate trainings
  • Practice with sales professionals when needed
  • Provide competitive training and messaging
  • Develop business strategy based on sales goals, expectations and available resources, including regional strategies and tactics.
  • Effectively provide constructive feedback to sales professionals in order to help maximize their potential.
  • Provide direction based on field input, market assessments and trends in order to develop a region which is consistently implementing "Best Practices".
  • Establish positive working relationships with all key customer segments (internal and external).
Qualifications:
  • BA in Business, Marketing or related field is required; MBA preferred.
  • Background in medical or biological sciences; clinical diagnostics preferred.
  • Minimum five years' physician sales experience in diagnostic laboratory business (preferably in a genetics laboratory).
  • Previous field experience in sales or customer facing role is preferred
  • Prior sales training experience is preferred
  • Proof of COVID Vaccine required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Duties are typically performed in an office setting.
  • This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone and read printed material.
  • Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times.
  • Travel required for this position includes in person New Hire Trainings (~once a quarter), Area Meetings and corporate meeting travel as needed.
  • Business travel by air or car is required for regular internal and external business meetings
