Job Description:

The P&O Business Partner, Corporate plays a critical role in supporting the Sr. P&O Business Partners, respective Business Leaders, and Line Managers within Corporate functions in developing and deploying the enterprise and functional People agenda, driving business success, and fostering a culture where all Associates can thrive. The Business Partner develops and deploys functional People plans inclusive of talent, organizational development, culture, and performance. Additionally, the Business Partner will play a key role in supporting or co-leading successful transversal enterprise initiatives to drive overall unit effectiveness and transformative change. As a key successor role to Sr. Business Partner role, this role may also support broader Global Corporate P&O initiatives from time-to-time.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or related field. Master / Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or related field, preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive P&O and/or leadership experience
  • P&O Business Partner experience working at senior levels, or demonstrated strength in people leadership
  • Ability to apply global and local policies and practices in support of facilitating a mutual outcome for the business and associate.
  • Demonstrated ability to deploy strategies at the functional leadership level.
  • Demonstrated experience with organizational development
  • Demonstrated capability in leading medium scale change management (ex. functional level change initiatives)
  • Ability to problem solve and incorporate data analytics into the decision-making process
  • Strong consulting skills and ability to influence decisions

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop and deploy people plans for corporate functions which support business initiatives and associate development/engagement; develop and engage in appropriate organization effectiveness and change management to strengthen the health of the organization and enable a high-performance culture while driving a balance of business and associate advocacy
  • Embed talent management processes to ensure a robust talent pipeline to deliver business results, including high quality diverse recruits, associate development, associate retention strategies, associate performance and succession planning at the leadership level.
  • Act as a trusted coach and credible partner to the senior leaders within Corporate, assisting in change efforts that are designed to create high associate productivity, engagement and encourage teamwork. Such efforts would include conflict resolution, reorganizations, organizational alignment, job redesign, team building and problem solving.
  • Serve as an associate advocate, continuously assessing the climate of engagement and morale, and proactively seek opportunities for improvement within the corporate office and among remote based corporate Associates.
  • Partner with MyP&O and Centres of Expertise (ex. Rewards, Talent, etc.) to effectively deploy global standard processes; work closely with P&O Business Relationship Managers to continuously improve the operating model and corporate associate experience. For non MyP&O Markets collaborate with the local P&O resource to facilitate necessary actions for global corporate associate actions.
  • Facilitate the adoption of Mars signature programs, leading and managing specific corporate P&O BP projects and or represent Corporate P&O on enterprise initiatives.
