Job Purpose/Overview

As we stand up and deploy a new Digital OD and Operating Model through transformation, the NA Digital Business Partner plays a critical role in partnering with the Digital and Ecomm functions within the Region working closely across the global functions. The Business Partner develops and deploys functional People plans inclusive of talent, organizational development, culture and performance. This role will also work in close partnership with other Digital P&O Business Partners to develop and deploy the evolved operating model, organizational design, and subsequent change management. Additionally, the Business Partner will play a key role in supporting or co-leading successful Global and Regional transversal enterprise initiatives to drive overall change programs.

This is a 36 month transformation role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field required, Master's degree preferred
  • 7 or more years of progressive HR and/or leadership experience required, 10 years of experience preferred
  • HR Generalist experience working at senior levels, or demonstrated strength in people leadership in another function required
  • Knowledge of global and local policies and practices and an understanding of their application in solving business needs required
  • Demonstrated capability in deploying strategies at the functional leadership level and enterprise level preferred
  • Demonstrated experience using organizational development tools or other functional equivalent preferred
  • Demonstrated capability in leading medium scale change management (ex. functional level change initiatives) preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills, using a comprehensive approach with strong attention to detail
  • Experience supporting Digital Technologies or Data & Analytics professionals preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with OE CDIO and NA LT to establish and deploy short- and long-term strategies based on data & analytics insights in critical areas such as culture, talent, High Performance Collaboration, change management and organizational development to drive business success; ensure the people agenda is deployed and effectively actioned.
  • Use Organizational Development (OD) principles and data analytics to develop and deploy rigorous people plans and strategies that supports associate development/engagement.
  • Work closely with business partners across the enterprise supporting Digital to create a compelling Employee Value Proposition for technology associates.
  • Work closely with MyP&O and Centers of Expertise (ex. Rewards, Talent, etc.) to collaboratively design and deploy interventions specific to Pet Nutrition needs, or to deploy global standard processes.
  • Drive efficiency across the P&O operating model by facilitating the adoption of Mars signature programs, leading and managing OE specific projects, and providing P&O support to functional leadership teams.
  • Lead all key talent, culture and P&O signature process elements within Digital and Ecommerce
  • Act as a trusted coach and credible partner to the senior leaders within Digital and Ecommerce l, and other functions as needed.

Organization Design & Development (Digital Specific)

  • Support efforts to embed new Digital Operating model and new RAPIDs
  • Deliver Digital Operating model in NA onboarding to all OE based roles that report into the NA CDIO. Ensure that new joiners are quickly onboarded into operating model.
  • Design and facilitate workshops to support operating model implementation (From awareness to adoption)
  • Deploy "Digital First" change management efforts at the NA OE (in partnership with SRO)
  • Transition planning and implementation (in close partnership with across OE P&O and project team):
  • Design OE acceleration teams
  • Lead recruitment and placement efforts for OE acceleration teams (including mapping and placement of existing associates)

Support evaluation of the Operating Model performance:

  • Play an active role in gathering feedback all aspects of the operating model, helping to remove barriers at the OE and across OE level.

Support Super Users community - Partner with functional leaders at the OE level to:

  • Help identify super users required for OE products.
  • Ensure Super Users have the capacity required to play this role with excellence.
  • Super users' IBOs accurately reflect accountabilities to the success of the new operating model

Support existing DT, D&A and Ecommerce teams

  • Overall business partnering support for the existing DT, D&A and Ecommerce resources in OE
  • Support organization design for support organization needed at the OE level which sits outside of Digital First efforts (i.e. maintenance of existing products and services)

Capability Development

  • Identification of critical capabilities to succeed in new model e.g., collaboration, and plan to acquire/develop
  • In close partnership with across OE team, enable Agile methodology deployment and subsequent culture shifts

Talent Acquisition and Management - high collaboration with across OE team:

  • Contribute to efforts to create an Employee Proposition for digital to attract and retain talent
  • Contribute to the creation of a workforce plan for Digital, knowing the market and thinking outside of the box
  • Hiring key talent and brokering talent moves across the Digital Operating Model, Petcare, MW and MGS
  • Contribute to career pathing and succession planning efforts.

Performance Management

Work with Digital and Functional Leaders to:

  • Ensure new operating model brings clarity of accountabilities and performance objectives.
  • Foster a performance culture.
  • Secure compliance to RAPIDs, governance forums and overall Operating Model.
