eCommerce Retail Media Search Manager

Job Description:

This role leads our search strategy and investment execution at Amazon. This role will be an integral part of the Amazon Customer team, providing recommendations critical to successfully delivering the overall sales plan, including owning specific building blocks associated with activations. These activations are closely integrated with sales team plans and customer and internal priorities.

What are we looking for?

  • The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree program in a related field or equivalent work experience. Budget Management
  • 2+ years serving in one of the following areas: a shopper/retail media role at a large CPG, a planning or execution role at a digital agency with retail media experience, or a customer management role at a large CPG vendor on a pureplay team.
  • 3+ years direct selling will be considered in lieu of the above experience
  • Retail Media Campaign Planning/Execution - Preferred
  • Agency & Customer Management - Preferred
  • Execution and Measurement - Preferred

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Planning, and Execution: Our investment in retail search at Amazon is significant, so it's critical that this associate exhibits a high level of operational control in managing the budget and search strategy, partnering with our agency on forward looking programs, in project management to ensure our strategy execute with excellence, and in reporting on results.
  • Data-backed Decisions: In order to get the absolute best return for our budget or strategy, it takes relentless curiosity, a willingness to test and learn, and an ability to collaborate with technical experts. This associate will need to be comfortable reading and reacting to data, as well as making recommendations on how to optimize campaigns based on latest information. They'll also work frequently with experts in data structuring, acquisition, analytics, and visualization to help us improve our decisions.
  • Forecasting: This associate will be responsible for forecasting and managing the search building block supporting the team in delivering the overall sales plan.
  • Navigating Ambiguity: The retail media space is a fast-changing, dynamic part of digital commerce. In order to navigate the rapidly evolving space, we often find ourselves solving problems we've never solved before, using data that isn't perfect. It takes a high tolerance for ambiguity as well as natural curiosity and drive for action to be successful.
  • Collaboration With Cross-Functional Partners: This role will require meaningful time spent working with internal partners in finance, marketing, sales planning, data science, and advanced analytics, as well as local team members in category and supply. The ability to build relationships and foster collaboration is crucial.
  • Agency and Customer Management: Collaborate with agency partners and Media Network on future programs, test & learns, and best practices.
  • Presentation Skills: Comfort making presentations with medium to large audiences is essential and will often be a part of this person's workload. Presentations to senior leadership will occur at least once per quarter.
  • Leadership: This associate will play a substantial role in mentoring and developing junior associates.

Total rewards at Mars includes base pay, competitive benefits, and annual bonus (if position is eligible). The full-time pay range for this role is:
USD 99,139.00 - USD 148,709.00
