Description
The Leidos National Security Sector has an opening for a cleared MedEvac Coordinator who is seeking a rewarding and challenging opportunity supporting medical services for an Intelligence Community (IC) customer in Virginia. This is a position with tremendous opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting an important mission in the National Security arena.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the customer's MedEvac team through internal communication systems, medical appointment coordination, patient travel and meet-and-greet coordination.
- Identify measures to ensure successful implementation and maintenance of the program and facilitate and coordinate activities in support of the program.
- Develop a rolodex/call sheet and maintain liaison relationships with local, state and federal emergency response partners and hospitals to facilitate a timely response for MedEvac requests
- Develop and implement standards and procedures for responding to MedEvac requests
- Maintain open and timely communication with MedEvac teams to include participating in meetings, updating the patient roster spreadsheet, keeping metrics on all MedEvac encounters, and updating the team calendar.
- Review all requests for MedEvac, release authorization, and assist with MedEvac accounting.
- Support the coordination of air ambulance medevacs when appropriate.
- Local travel may be required.
- Work nights and weekends to support MedEvacs. Some initial coordination may be done in off hours from home, as appropriate.
- Interact with patients, customer's Human Resources (HR) and leadership, contract vendors, and medical providers in the community about actual or potential MedEvacs.
- Work within tight deadlines across multiple competing priorities.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in emergency or critical care, with exposure to trauma cases.
- 1 or more advanced certification (e.g., Critical Care Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner).
- Knowledge of air medical transport regulations and procedures.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in MedEvacs and medical transports
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Experience working for/with IC and/or DoD clients
- Experience working in a classified work setting

Pay Range:
Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
