Please note: This is a hybrid position and will require commuting to our Flatiron office in NYC 3 days per week.

Job Summary:

The Director of Referral marketing plays a crucial role in driving revenue through the affiliate channel. The role is responsible for leading and managing the referral marketing team and channel to develop and execute affiliate marketing strategies and programs to drive revenue and business growth. The role requires a deep understanding of forecasting revenue targets and achieving them, digital marketing, strong leadership skills, and the ability to foster relationships with affiliate partners. What makes this opportunity unique is IIN’s large community of affiliates to tap into including students, alumni, faculty, influencers & health and wellness publishers to unlock and hit goal.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Partner with finance team to create annual & monthly forecast and lead in defining a strategy to hit annual, quarterly & monthly sign-up, lead, enrollment & revenue goals
  • Set clear, business impacting plans and priorities each month to achieve forecast for the referral marketing channel
  • Lead and manage the affiliate marketing team to drive execution, providing guidance, direction and prioritization
  • Partner with analytics team to build critical reports & dashboards to inform you and the team as well as leadership on day to day performance of the referral marketing channel to drive decisions
  • Consistently analyze and optimize each week to achieve short term performance alongside long term key project completion to continue to grow the business
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to ensure the referral marketing plans align with holistic marketing strategies to create larger impact
  • Lead the larger and top partners strategy – outline & negotiate contracts, manage relationships, identify innovative opportunities across influencers, faculty, events and publishers partners
  • Define and optimize pay-out and incentive structure across segments to create most compelling combination to drive performance and ensure maximum profitability
  • Design quantitative and qualitative research approach to gain on-going feedback from the referral members to continue to optimize the program
  • Drive the higher level relationship with our 3rd party affiliate platform partner to ensure we are maximizing use
  • Continue to assess tools & technology to drive scale
  • Remain up to date with industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies to remain competitive in the affiliate marketing space
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • 10+ years’ experience working in digital marketing or affiliate marketing
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Results-oriented with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding affiliate marketing goals
  • Understanding of digital marketing channels affiliates are on including social platforms, website, blogs & podcasts
  • Technically savvy and experienced in affiliate platforms and tracking as well as digital measurement tools (GA4, PowerBI)
  • Excellent communication and relationships management skills
  • Ability to compile data and use to drive action
  • Strong understanding of community member tools to market including email, blogs & social media
  • Growth marketing mindset, who can prioritize and identify business impacting plans
  • Curious and creative thinker who can quickly learn the health & wellness space

Compensation: 

$150,000-$175,000 

The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated to you as a candidate.
