The Career Marketing Executive (CME) is a field-focused role that creates Marketing plans to identify and drive Marketing activities that directly support The Career Marketing Executive (CME) is a field-focused role that creates Marketing plans to identify and drive Marketing activities that directly support agents in developing leads and achieving their performance goals. Career Marketing Executives work with agents and their leaders to create plans that drive new enrollments, increase retention of existing members, and build meaningful relationships with community organizations and influencers. CMEs possess outstanding networking skills that they use to identify and execute Marketing events, training opportunities, and community engagement & outreach programs. CMEs are experts at using Marketing activities to identify viable prospects and cultivate reliable referral sources. CMEs rely on numerous proven Marketing practices and can quickly learn and implement contemporary methods, including creative uses of digital platforms and social media. CMEs readily adopt and share Marketing best practices within and between their territories.

Some of the typical duties and responsibilities of CMEs are:

  • Create and implement marketing plans and budgets that align with the channel's goals and objectives, as well as the regulatory and compliance requirements for Medicare Advantage products
  • Support corporate sponsorship opportunities and initiatives with community outreach, planning meetings, and on-site facilitation (Veteran Channel, Bold Goal, Rock n' Roll Marathon, ruck marches, Senior Games, Kroger, Fast Start, etc.)
  • Present at and/or support new agent Orientation events, as needed
  • Use or conduct market research to identify the needs, preferences, and behaviors of the target audience and the local competitive landscape
  • Develop and manage various marketing channels and activities, such as direct mail, email, social media, webinars, events, seminars, etc., to generate leads and referrals, and to educate and engage members and prospects
  • Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, such as corporate marketing, product, operations, providers, community organizations, etc., to ensure the effectiveness and consistency of the marketing messages and materials
  • Monitor & measure the performance and impact of marketing campaigns and initiatives using various metrics and tools, such as response rates, conversion rates, retention rates, ROI, etc. to guide our investment and help hold agents accountable to goals
  • Report and communicate marketing results and insights to the senior management and other relevant parties, and provide recommendations for improvement and optimization

Required Qualifications

  • Must be able and willing to travel up to 200 miles in and around Chicago, IL at least 4 days a week
  • Broad knowledge/skills to work in various field settings that align with our prospect base, such as Veterans, DSNP, multi-cultural (partnering with empowered agents to help)
  • Proven experience in marketing, preferably in the health care and/or insurance industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and other languages as required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to use data and insights to drive marketing decision-making and actions
  • Creative and strategic thinking skills and the ability to develop and execute innovative and effective marketing campaigns and events

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communication, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in various marketing tools and platforms
  • Knowledge of the Medicare Advantage market, products, regulations, and compliance standards
  • Military Veterans and Military Spouses are preferred

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$62,000 - $85,300 per year
