Are you an experienced Site Manager? Do you oversee and direct all departments within the facility, being accountable for its performance?

  • We need you to be able to communicate in Dutchand English
  • You need experience in Operations andprojects within a logistics, FMCG or Manufacturing environment.
  • You will be based at one of our sites, mid-Belgium, Monday to Friday, with standard working daytime hours
  • You will have dealt with Union representation

You will be required to define requirements for the site and ensure the implementation of new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed requirements and customer expectations.

You will be focused on LEAN techniques, quality management processes, and cost control methodologies within the operations to achieve company goals and profit levels; continued business growth, and long-term relationships with customers.

What do you do on a typical day
  • P&L of the site, develop and achieve budget and operating income goals
  • Define requirements for multiple operations and ensure the implementation of new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed Company requirements and customer expectations
  • Ensure daily distribution and light manufacturing activities are executed and accountable for performance shortfalls - develop corrective action plans when performance falls below target
  • Support Human Resource development through appropriate training, development and succession planning
  • Management functions - Direct: Site Management Team and Indirect: All Warehouse staff and dotted line to some staff roles
  • Contract management, responsible for exceeding customer metrics (cost, quality, and responsiveness)
  • Implement and coach Lean warehousing system
  • Regularly reviews performance expectations with the leadership team, providing expectations, performance planning, feedback, training and development and performance discussions
  • Provide support for sales and customer quotations, support and attend customer QBRs, identify growth opportunities with current customers
  • Develop and implement a healthy and safe work environment, quality and continuous improvment within the facility
  • Administers and communicates company policies
  • Supervises invoice drafting processes, supports account receivable follow-up process
  • Consciously dealing with the reduction of environmental impact in terms of waste, energy, water and fuel consumption

What you need to be successful at GXO
  • Bachelor's Degree e.g. in logistics, engineering, operations management, supply chain management business administration or similar/equivalent
  • Required experience: 3+ years of operations experience; experience managingprojects with multiple stakeholders
  • Must be from a logistics, FMCG, or manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English
