OUR IMPACT

Client Business Management sits within the Client Solutions Group (CSG) and is focused on strategic projects that impact clients across all distribution channels and geographies. This role is dedicated to understanding key regulatory and market events that impact our clients, working with internal stakeholders to craft messaging to clients, and partnering with Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) and sales teams globally to drive client outreach. In addition, the team is responsible for providing oversight of the CRM role globally and ensuring we maintain an efficient and controlled service model.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Contribute to a broad platform that serves as CSG's main point of contact for a diverse set of functional areas, including portfolio management, trading, operations, legal, and compliance.
  • Develop and coordinate outreaches to clients, driven by regulatory and market events. Requires managing tasks across a multi-disciplined team generally consisting of CRMs, Strategic Client Services, Institutional Oversight, Portfolio Management, Trading, Operations, Controllers, Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, and Accounting/Billing.
  • Work on special projects that build out the service model and infrastructure to create scale and efficiencies within the client relationship manager function.
  • Oversee operation of global client service model and ongoing account maintenance items (e.g. cash flows, account updates, guideline changes, client organizational changes, etc.)
  • Strong awareness of client interests and investment trends coupled with the intellectual curiosity to explore and research those areas in order to best deliver the resources of the firm to our clients.
  • Join CSG's apprenticeship structure, working closely with other team members to deliver a superior standard of service to our clients.
  • Grow within the role to become an effective client advocate within the firm and find creative ways to deliver the resources of the firm.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and strong academic background required
  • 2+ years of work experience, preferably at an asset management firm
  • Strong project management skills including ability to organize and track multiple threads of activity, ability to deliver on tight timelines, hands-on approach to resolving issues, detail oriented, excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build the trust and confidence of internal stakeholders, ability to strengthen client relationships through ongoing dialog and interactions, ability to work well with others internally to accomplish client objectives
  • Strong communication skills, ability to summarize client meetings and/or other client interactions to various levels within the organization
  • Ability to excel in a team-environment
  • Good understanding of financial markets, and operating model for separately managed accounts
  • A good understanding of portfolio construction, risk management or accounting principles would be beneficial
  • Motivated proactive self-starter with strong work ethic
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Series 7 and 63 licensed or obtained within 3 months of joining

Preferred Qualifications

  • Financial services industry experience
  • Project management experience

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $85000-$110000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
