The Technical Tendering Manager (Tendering Engineering): also referred as Lead Customer Application Engineer, is in charge of the technical content and more globally of the technical coordination within a project tender execution. His/Her objective is to ensure resulting bids are competitive while being able to be delivered within the Budget, Planning and Quality commitments. Establishes and optimizes the project Bill of Quantity and associated Technical definitions in line with the Return of Experience. Validates the technical offers from the Supplying Entities and external suppliers. Prepares the technical offer for the customer.

These projects may involve HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) technology on offshore platforms and require collaboration with multiple stakeholders worldwide. The Technical Tendering Manager serves as the primary contact for the Customer and is accountable for working with the tender team to develop of the best technical solutions.

The Technical Tendering Manager (Tendering Engineering): also referred as Lead Customer Application Engineer, is in charge of the technical content and more globally of the technical coordination within a project tender execution. His/Her objective is to ensure resulting bids are competitive while being able to be delivered within the Budget, Planning and Quality commitments. Establishes and optimizes the project Bill of Quantity and associated Technical definitions in line with the Return of Experience. Validates the technical offers from the Supplying Entities and external suppliers. Prepares the technical offer for the customer.

Tasks

  • Coordination of the preparation of offers, responsible for meeting the content and schedule requirements.
  • Timely consolidation of technical offer documentation, preparation of the schedule for tender engineering activities.
  • Adjustment and monitoring of the offer schedule and tender budget planning, responsibility for financial calculation and target pricing.
  • Preparation of the offer structure and development of the commercial content of the offer.
  • Preparation of Engineering Division of Responsibility for all project teams involved.
  • Coordination between all technical teams involved in the tender, coordination of technical team meetings, design reviews, and technical validation sessions.
  • Implementation of GE Engineering guidelines.
  • Preparation of risk assessments for technical content.
  • Merging a workload plan for engineering disciplines.
  • Support in drawing up the execution schedule.

Your profile

  • Successfully completed technical studies in the field of electrical engineering or similar.
  • Professional experience in the areas of substations/power plants & EPC projects.
  • Experience in technical project management.
  • Willingness to travel (inter/national - 15%) & regular business trips to Dresden when located in Berlin (preferably twice a month for 2-3 days each time).
  • Fluent English
  • German language skills would be an advantage
  • High cooperation skills, proactive action, analytical thinking.
  • Knowledge of commercial interrelationships of technical aspects.
