Join Grid Solutions as a Senior Tendering Engineering Manager and play a pivotal role in advancing HVDC Substation technology, a cornerstone for Europe's ambitious renewable energy transition. In this high-impact position, you will lead the technical coordination and management of complex tenders, ensuring engineering excellence, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of major infrastructure projects and the achievement of clean energy goals.

Core Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Oversee the full engineering scope of HVDC substation tenders, ensuring alignment with project objectives, cost targets, and quality standards.
  • Technical Coordination: Lead cross-functional GE technical teams, facilitating design reviews, technical validation meetings, and effective interface management.
  • Tender Management: Consolidate and manage all technical deliverables, set submission schedules, and ensure timely completion of tender engineering activities.
  • Scope & Resource Planning: Define and monitor engineering budgets, allocate resources, and track critical project milestones.
  • Risk & Strategy: Develop and implement technical tender strategies, identify project risks and opportunities, and drive mitigation plans.
  • Customer Engagement: Ensure compliance with customer technical requirements, manage technical queries, and lead customer meetings to address and resolve issues.
  • Document & Configuration Management: Oversee technical document control, validate engineering deliverables, and manage deviations.
  • Process & Tools Deployment: Ensure the effective use of engineering tools (e.g., CAD, costing tools), organize design review plans, and integrate EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) requirements.
  • Quality & Compliance: Uphold quality procedures, resolve non-conformances, and ensure adherence to EMH guidelines.
  • Health & Safety Leadership: Champion EHS best practices, implement design freeze processes, and proactively address safety risks.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) environments within Transmission & Distribution, Power Generation, or Oil & Gas sectors.
  • Proven expertise in engineering processes such as civil works, plant configuration, control and protection hardware, system and performance studies, or electrical design.
  • Demonstrated success in technical project management and leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of project execution risks, financial processes, and cost optimization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
  • Proficiency in engineering tools (e.g., CAD, costing software) and document management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Demonstrated leadership in unstructured environments, with a track record of ownership, accountability, and strategic vision.
