About the Role
The Head of Digital is a key role on the Athleta Leadership Team that perfectly straddles the art and science of ecommerce. We're looking for an inspirational, high-energy visionary who will elevate Athleta's digital expression to the next level through industry-leading website, app, media and omni customer experiences to unlock breakthrough financial results.

This is a uniquely exciting moment to join the team. Not only will you lead our ecommerce business through a period of unparalleled growth, but you'll influence and optimize all aspects of our digital platforms end-to-end. That includes ensuring we're building a world-class and elevated customer experience, thoughtfully integrating emotional and captivating stories, supporting the evaluation and integration of the most important and exciting new technical features to increase conversion, and otherwise ensuring our customer has the most supportive, frictionless, and inspiring digital brand experience possible.
You will be responsible for full P&L ownership across our digital channels and contribute meaningfully to the overall strategic vision for how this critical channel is going to help us achieve ambitious business and brand goals over the year. That includes owning and evolving the strategy & priorities across the digital experience and overseeing the cross-functional processes to enable customer-facing category experience (navigation, product content) in accordance with business strategy & priorities.
You'll also activate and inspire a highly talented team and support them through the inevitable highs and lows of a very dynamic business. We're looking for a cultural leader who can bring out the best in those around them, and ensure we have the psychological safety, growth mindset, and sense of purpose (and play!) needed to do career-defining work.
What You'll Do
- Predicts and capitalizes on business opportunities and risks in-season through utilizing sales performance and marketplace information.
- Participates in key decisions as both a member of theAthleta leadership team and the Gap Inc. central digital team to ensure online/digital best practices are in place.
- Ensures our online experience is constantly evolving and elevating to meet our customer's needs and biggest business opportunities.
- Ensures product news and big ideas are translated into an exciting customer site experience with a focus on storytelling through our digital capabilities.
- Collaborates with enterprise digital team to develop key digital experiences and potential UX tests for consideration and prioritization.
- Leads, directs, and develops the digital team composed of multiple functions.
- Oversight for E-commerce, Digital, Retention, and Media Marketing
- P&L Ownership: Accountable for delivering annual sales and profit targets for a large proportion of the total brand's business
- Ecommerce Leadership: Ecommerce background with an understanding of how to drive results in retail.
- Business Drivers Leadership: Highly developed understanding of e-commerce business drivers impacting top and bottom line, as well at the ability to interpret web analytics to implement/drive strategy.
- P&L Leadership: Proven track record of leading business strategy, commercial planning, and driving results
- Team Leadership: Deep experience leading cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical experts to drive a common vision.
- Personal Leadership: Demonstrated executive presence, ability to navigate complexity, work with creative and technical teams, and collaborate across a senior leadership team.
- Change Leadership: Experience leading through significant change & transformation to move on organization forward in a financially responsible way.

Salary Range: $255,300 - $351,100 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
