The Director of Marketing Strategy plays a vital and dynamic role in propelling the Local Consumer Marketing teams to new heights. This key support person is instrumental in oversight of the local strategic marketing plans to drive subscriber acquisition, boost engagement, and reduce churn. With a heightened focus on challenging the status quo and providing additional context on overall consumer marketing trends and behavior, the Director will, ensure the success and growth of our subscriber base. Collaborating closely with the Directors, this position will monitor and direct the implementation of strategic initiatives across departments, ensuring that projects are on track and objectives are met. Their vision for best-in-class marketing campaign creativity and execution prowess is essential to the Marketing Director's goals for success, making this role a cornerstone of our marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of local marketing strategies to drive subscriber acquisition, engagement, and retention.


  • Ensure alignment of marketing plans with overall business objectives.


  • Foster a culture of innovation and challenge the status quo.


  • Collaborate closely with Directors to monitor and direct the implementation of strategic initiatives.


  • Ensure projects are on track and objectives are met across departments.


  • Provide insights on consumer marketing trends and behavior.


  • Use data to inform and refine marketing strategies.


  • Drive best-in-class marketing campaign creativity and execution.


  • Ensure campaigns are effective and resonate with the target audience.


  • Track and report on key performance metrics related to marketing initiatives.


  • Use metrics to assess the success of marketing strategies and make necessary adjustments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.


  • 10+ years of experience in brand management, local marketing strategy, or related roles.


  • 6+ years of proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.


  • Strong knowledge of content marketing, community engagement, and digital marketing.


  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.


  • Affluent with market research and data analytics.


  • Knowledge of branding principles and best practices.


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $90,000 and $100,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable.
