As a Senior IT Manager of Infrastructure, you'll play a pivotal role by ensuring the quality and resilience of our infrastructure platforms that are critical to the services we deliver to both internal and external clients. In addition to an earnest desire to help people, we are looking for the ideal candidate to complement the team's existing talents: For this role, we need someone with shown leadership and operational excellence, leading a technical team of infrastructure engineers and architects. In this role, it will be essential to understand the needs of peer groups and partner with these groups to meet their business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Guide and support the Network Security and Cloud Platform teams, ensuring strong collaboration and efficiency. Provide mentorship to team leads, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across all teams.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance network security and cloud infrastructure. This includes assessing current systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to meet evolving business needs and security standards.
  • Development of Observability and KPIs: Establish and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) and observability metrics for network security and cloud operations. Utilize these metrics to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Operational Reporting: Implement a robust reporting framework to operationalize weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reviews. This framework should provide clear visibility into team achievements, project statuses, and areas requiring attention, facilitating informed decision-making at all levels.
  • Community of Practice Leadership: Define and roll out an Architecture Community of Practice (COP) across the four teams, encouraging knowledge sharing, best practices, and collaborative problem-solving. Ensure the COP drives innovation, enhances skills, and fosters a strong sense of community and shared purpose among team members.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing network security and cloud infrastructure teams. Demonstrated success in leading large-scale IT projects and initiatives.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (such as an MBA or MS in a relevant field) preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect are highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in a range of security technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanning tools) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform). Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security considerations. Experience with observability tools and KPI development for IT operations.

Soft Skills and Competencies: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor team leads and foster a collaborative team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset for planning and executing IT security and cloud strategies. Ability to operationalize reporting and metrics, facilitating data-driven decision-making.

Agile Methodology Expertise: Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing Agile methodologies within IT teams. Skilled in facilitating agile practices, rolling out Agile frameworks (such as Scrum or Kanban), and driving continuous improvement through retrospectives and sprint planning. Ability to mentor teams in Agile principles, ensuring efficient project management and team collaboration.
