Eaton's Residential Connected Solutions (CS) Team is looking for a technology leader for our software team comprising of Cloud SW, Mobile App Development, DevSecOps and QA. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of building and scaling technology teams and delivering cutting edge IoT solutions that leverage cloud, data, and mobile technologies, including iOS, Android. The leader needs to provide strategic leadership on Innovation, solution definition to delivery, following Agile practices, drive continuous improvement and sustenance of the solution. The leader shall shape up the proposals with deep system understanding and strong consumer centricity, to make the CS portfolio rich, venture into new use cases and drive the best-in-class solutions. Enrich & foster climate of innovation to drive growth & accelerate capability development. Collaborate with global product engineering teams and internal / external stakeholders to perform system development activities during project execution. Perform technical reviews, including detailed design reviews. Help drive the roadmap and achieve leadership position in key focus areas on Next Generation Connected Solutions (Home Energy Management) and drive the strategy on Home as a grid through Eaton offerings.

"Lead a team by understanding the product strategies and identifies the priorities for product development. Builds a solid rapport with global stakeholders and seeks responsibilities. Partners with multiple teams like Platform teams, Machine Learning / Data Analysis teams, Cybersecurity teams, User Experience teams etc. and ensures the rapid adoption, contributing back and aligning the schedules. Establishes the urgency whenever needed and seeks quicker turnaround for the prioritized issues with utmost quality and documentation in terms of release notes and seeks the acceptance feedback from marketing. Develops the capabilities by reskilling team members, hiring talent, creating standard operating procedures and enable the required infrastructure. • 13+ years of overall experience including 4+ years of experience as Software Team Manager and 8+ years of hands-on expertise in one of the domains like cloud software development, IoT solutions, Mobile App development, DevSecOps.
• Strong expertise in IoT software development, communication protocols with deep knowledge on software coding standards, Agile practices, DevSecOps.
• Experience with software development, CI/CD/CT, Software QA. (Typescript, NodeJS, React Native, Kotlin, Azure Dockers, Microservices, Kubernetes experiences has added value)
• Lead & execute global programs with Engineering leadership from Pune
• Manages department budget and performance to forecast
• Drives and promotes innovation rigor in the team in order to create technical differentiators and new value propositions. Provide growth opportunities and protect IP through patents and trade secrets
• Ensure Eaton stays abreast of new and emerging technologies to design and evaluate product integrity in order to facilitate rapid deployment.
• Leads and enables design reviews and engineering work packages
• Understands customer requirements and communicate them to teams, and act as the liaison for program activities as appropriate.
• Trains, develops and motivates subordinates to achieve their performance goals and review their accomplishments and conducts performance reviews. Manages and develops people: identifies, attracts and develops key engineering talent for the organization.
• Monitors progress and achievements on projects. Provide regular reports on development and support activities.
• Provides expert resolution of issues and monitors integration of work. Review technical concepts of projects and provide architecture directions, considering customer needs, market landscape and business needs
• Synergizes and leverages engineering capabilities across groups.
• Excellent communications skills, global exposure, high degree of aptitude, creativity is required.
