Engineering Manager - Embedded Software

What you'll do:

"The Engineering Manager PSD - Software will be a key member of the Power System Divisions Controls Group and will lead the new product development of software, embedded software, and electronic control projects by effectively leveraging industry standard best practices and software development playbook. We are looking for motivated professionals with strong skills in technical leadership along with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Collaborate with global product engineering team and perform embedded development activities during project execution. Perform technical reviews, including detailed design and code reviews. Drive rigor around software development lifecycle, agile program execution and model-based systems engineering. Ensure quality of delivery in accordance with the plan adhering to the standard practices used in agile/waterfall model. Perform code reviews with team members for modules/tasks and ensuring that best practices and efficient coding standards are adhered to GIT. Ensures compliance with Agile Scrum process and agile ceremonies/work products, Management standards and guidelines."

"• Provide functional leadership for switchgear and voltage regulator controls team for embedded firmware, software, and controls.
• Collaborate closely with global team and ensure timely execution of controls programs in the team.
• Lead & execute global programs with Engineering leadership from Pune.
• Develops the Continuous Integration /Continuous Development using GIThub, Bamboo and focuses on program and design reviews and engineering work packages.
• Deploy methodologies like DFSS and DMAIC in product development.
• Understand customer requirements and communicate them to teams, and act as the liaison for program activities as appropriate.
• Trains, develops, and motivates subordinates to achieve their performance goals and review their accomplishments and conducts performance reviews. Recruit and retain a team of engineers.
• Monitors progress and achievements on projects. Provide regular reports on development and support activities.
• Review technical concepts of projects including equipment specification and design.
• Coach, develop and grow the next level of talent."

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters in computer science / electronics/ E&TC/ Instrumentation engineering
"Minimum of 9 years' of experience leading engineering teams either as a technical lead or a functional manager through all stages of the application development lifecycle in embedded software and software enabled products
Minimum of 2 years' experience in people and talent management role.

• Embedded RTOS, Linux, C, C++,C#, WPF,.NET, Angular JS, Scrum Methodology
"• Ability to work with multiple cultures, functions, and regions as well as with technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong curiosity, creativity, and ability to work with different levels of the organization including senior executives
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Self drive and sense of ownership and accountability."
