What you'll do:
- Manage and directs site in achieving EHS targets & objectives. Direct development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.
- Facilitate risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Work as part of leadership team to create targets and objectives to reduce risk and environmental impact.
- Determine appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track performance against targets and objectives.
- Support creation of EHS goals for the site manager and appropriate activity based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results.
- Support plant manager in the assignment of MESH element champions and facilitates their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements.
- Drive and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site.
- Create and facilitates EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year.
- Work with leadership team and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
- Pursue third party recognition for programs that establish the site and Eaton's EHS program as world class.
- Use established EHS data processes such as MESH Suite to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information.
- Creat training matrices to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to completion.
- Work with site leadership team and facilities to ensure that all key EHS operational controls are in place, on a PM program, and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.

Qualifications:
- Four year degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline or equivalent
- Advanced degree (Master's level or beyond recommended)
- Professional certification (recommended) (Certified Safety Professional
- Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or country equivalent where available)
- Minimum of 7 years experience in one or more of the applied areas and 5 years working in a business or manufacturing setting
Skills:
- Expert knowledge of industry, country and local environmental, health, and safety requirements
- Working knowledge of cross-functional EHS disciplines
- Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes
- Ability to speak English and other languages preferred depending on specific position
- Ability to demonstrate managerial courage (e.g., managing varied interests representing potential conflicts)Effective oral, written and interpersonal skills
- ceptional team-building skills and demonstrated ability to lead through influence at all levels inside and outside Company
- Strong organizational skills including ability to manage large number of disparate projects and to track projects through completion
