Eaton's IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a EHS Manager.
What you'll do:
Primary Function:
Manage an effective maintenance program that provides for a clean, comfortable, safe working environment for all personnel. Ensure compliance to ISO 14001,OSHA, and MESH requirements and regulations.

Essential Functions:
1 Implement Management Environment Safety & Health system (MESH), maintain, renew and comply with local and federal government.
2 Monitor and update compliance with ISO14001 and STPS codes and regulations, administer and maintain ISO 14001 & MESH certification.
3 Drives and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site.

4 Manages and directs site in achieving EHS targets & objectives. Directs development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.
5 Work together with the EHS Site and Site Staff in the Facilitates risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Works with leadership team to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks.
6 Determines appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track performance against targets and objectives.
7 Works to assign MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements
8 Works with leadership team and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
9 Pursues third party recognition for programs that establish the site and Eaton's EHS program as world class, create training matrices to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to completion
10 Responsible for the Security area and co- responsible for C-TPAT compliance, responsible of the medical area.
11 Ensure compliance with the life saving rules 100%, provide primary contact for all emergency needs.
12 Coordinate four drills during the year, collection, storage, manifesting, transporting and disposal of hazardous waste, complete regular EHS audits.
Qualifications:
Preferred education level:
- Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering chemical, Industrial, Environmental, EHS, or related field. Preferably master's degree.
Years and area of experience required:
- Experience: Five years' experience in EHS, including knowledge of STPS & OSHA regulations.
Technical knowledge:
- EHS Systems and Knowledge.
- Recognition and Evaluation of EHS Risks.
- Risk Control and Communication.
- Eaton and Regulatory Requirements.
Skills:
Soft skills:
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish
