About the function:
Our Supply Chain and Manufacturing team are problem-solvers, sourcing, producing, and delivering our much-loved brands to delight customers around the globe. Over half of Diageo's 30,000+ people work in Supply Chain and Manufacturing. About the role:
The role holder will support the brewers, creating a range of interesting beers for the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Dublin.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the Governance agenda in the Pilot Plant.
- Elevate the unit to best-in-class standards in Health and Safety, HACCP, and GRMS.
- Take a leading role in quality management and improvements within the brewery.
- Partner with the Brand Change Liquid team (comprising brewers, brewing technologists, and science graduates with expertise in product commercialisation, sensory, and stability testing).
- Collaborate on the delivery and maintenance of all systems, processes, and work practices to achieve and maintain best-in-practice plant operations.
- Support brewing on both the 5hl and 10hL pilot plants.
- Support packaging in the pilot plant's bottling, canning, and kegging facilities.
- Enable Diageo's innovation pipeline for Beer and African total beverage alcohol.
About you:
- Ideally you will have some science or brewing background and an interest in brewing, with an appetite to learn and do further study.
- You will have some experience of working in innovation, technical or supply operations ideally in a brewery or a small-scale plant.
- Any experience or background in production or quality management would be beneficial.
