About the Role

The IBP Digital Readiness & Adoption Lead is a key role within the i-IBP and implementation of Advanced demand planning system OMP. You will be responsible to ensure new solutions is fit for use in the region, ensure market readiness for i-IBP deployment across people, process, data and technology, and successfully rollout new processes and tool functionalities, driving fully adoption to unlock business benefits.

You will be required to have a robust understanding of technical and functional elements of the solution, co-create and validate solution with technical/data teams, build capability across Key Users and End Users, and influence key collaborators across all markets within the region to adopt new ways of working.

You will be part of a network of Start Up Leaders that together will drive standardized ways of working and best in class technology and reporting capabilities to support IBP maturity journey. You'll also partner with Demand and IBP GPO to support maturity journey interventions in the region.

In order to be successful, you will be expected to display the following skills:
  • Understands the principles that underpin demand planning processes, including formal education in demand planning and execution to complete work.
  • Understanding of the Business complexity.
  • The ability to translate business requirements into system parameters/rules as well as translate AI and Machine learning outputs into clear business language.
  • The ability to understand statistical forecasting principles and algorithms used in process.
  • Model and test algorithms using the latest data and technology.
  • Display critical thinking and digital dexterity by using data to tell a story based on fact and trends.
  • Has experience in demand planning in a similar environment using statistical tools, building block assumptions, opportunities and risks, and S&OP/IBP to agree plans.
  • Understand the principles and practices that support Advanced Statistical Forecasting, including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, in a way that this knowledge can be used to support existing and future statistical modelling and improvement within Diageo.
  • Can create and maintain scenario planning for Demand and IBP purposes including the understanding of how probabilistic forecasting can be used to determine the most likely scenarios and teach the demand analyst and iBP leads how to effectively apply it.
  • Can influence key cross functional collaborators and build trust in the new processes/tool functionalities.


Top Accountabilities
  • Assess regional requirements to unlock i-IBP functionalities and benefits, assess global model fit and identifies incremental user stories (where needed) to be delivered.
  • Promote sanctity of the Global design, influencing key stakeholders to leverage existing capabilities as much as possible, and/or justify need for incremental builds to meet regional nuances.
  • Support build of incremental user stories to meet regional requirements (where needed)
  • In partnership with GPO team, ensures foundational capabilities are in place to implement Advanced Statistical tools, ie, APO adoption, IBP health check and data quality
  • Owns readiness, deployment and hypercare and adoption of new processes and OMP functionalities, as aligned with the global standards and metrics.
  • Builds confidence in quality of OMP forecasting outcomes
  • Develop a strategic roadmap for the deployment of planning processes / systems / capability.
  • Promote & support maturity progression, efficient process management and adoption.
  • Monitor and analyze performance data to identify areas for adoption improvement.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication between business and program team.
  • Engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and commitment to the demand planning process deployment efforts.
  • Anticipate and address resistance to change by communicating the benefits and value proposition of the new planning processes.
  • Drives design of system configuration (CPG, Hierarchies, sales organization)
  • Ensures data accuracy for system usage and Data governance structure in place to sustain post launch
  • Build understanding across key team members on how OMP statistical models transform current ways of working and unlocks value for the organization.
  • Owns the eradication of parallel demand planning processes and stabilization of OMP as the only forecasting solution.
  • Support development of test scripts to meet business requirements and run multiple user test cases as part of the design and user acceptance group.
  • Understand and collaborate with multiple systems within Diageo including an understanding of the stat architecture.
  • Contribute to the development of a Data strategy for the region together with the Global Demand Process Owner.
  • Hands on assistance during the hyper-care period post implementation.
  • Provide continuous support during BAU for the key markets within the region.
  • Brainstorm areas of improvement for the implementation in phase two markets within the region.
  • Acquiring and disseminating system knowledge, thorough understanding of the system through training, by following very closely the modelling work done by the consultant(s) and by testing the system.
  • Owns development of Key users within the region (Network, capabilities, escalation framework)


Experience, Skills & Capabilities Required
  • Baseline understanding of the end-to-end Supply Chain Planning processes; Supply Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning, Inventory Planning, Conversion, Logistics, Procurement and Customer Service
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics and/or forecasting methodologies with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong Stakeholders management skills
  • Proficient in MS applications e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
  • Self confidence

Previous Successful Experience
  • Working within the Demand and/or Supply Chain Planning process; Consumer Packaged Goods Industry preferred
  • Experience with advanced planning software with Supply Planning (SAP APO system and Business Intelligence/BW/Power Bi )
  • Has practical experience of Demand Analytics, to analyse demand performance and trends, marketing, and sales activity impact (including pricing), and reach conclusions on what that might mean about current and future demand plans.
  • Has practical experience of IBP in a similar role and / or business, which can be used to support the current role and challenge assumptions
  • Can manage an appropriate change process to ensure market adoption of IBP, using Diageo principles, processes, and resources, as well as their own skills, capabilities, and position.
  • First hand planning experience in IBP, S&OP, S&OE, Demand Planning.
