The Associate Manager, Healthcare Management, is responsible for leading and supporting a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, member-centered care. This role ensures the effective implementation of clinical and non-clinical services, promotes best practices, and drives performance aligned with organizational goals. The Associate Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional leaders to maintain consistency in care delivery and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Supervise and mentor healthcare management staff to build high-performing teams.
    • Assess developmental needs and implement action plans to support team growth.
    • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment that promotes excellence and accountability.
  • Operational & Clinical Oversight
    • Ensure the unit meets financial, operational, and quality performance targets.
    • Oversee the delivery of healthcare management services within the assigned area.
    • Implement and monitor adherence to clinical and non-clinical policies in line with NCQA, state, and federal standards.
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on clinical standards, quality interventions, and critical thinking.
    • Ensure confidentiality of member information and compliance with company policies.
    • Promote and monitor best practices and innovative approaches to care delivery.
  • Member Engagement & Case Management
    • May manage a personal caseload and act as a single point of contact for members and care teams.
    • Participate in care team meetings and support culturally responsive care planning.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Training & Collaboration
    • Contribute to the development and delivery of training content across departments.
    • Act as a liaison with other business areas to ensure integrated care coordination.
    • Support staff in effectively using information systems and tools.
  • Change Leadership
    • Lead change initiatives and model adaptability and resilience.
    • Create a positive work environment by recognizing contributions and encouraging input.
Required Qualifications
  • Must reside in the Miami-Dade area
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English - Language Assessment may be required
  • 3+ years of experience in managed care
  • 3-5 years of experience in a physical or behavioral healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of medical management regulations and standards
  • Proficient in navigating multiple systems and using computer applications
  • Highly organized with strong time management and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and support staff to meet business goals
  • Must possess reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time. Mileage is reimbursed per our company expense reimbursement policy
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of management or supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and web-based applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build team morale and commitment
  • Analytical skills to evaluate data and implement performance improvements
  • Effective communication with providers, members, and internal teams
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Health, or Human Services (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Mental Health, Counseling, Behavioral Sciences, Sociology, Gerontology, or a related field) is required.

The typical pay range for this role is:$46,988.00 - $91,800.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
