Nordics Medical Affairs Lead

The Nordics Medical Affairs Lead is a regional health professional/scientist acting with integrity and striving to improve overall efforts to improve public health and related-medical outcomes. The Nordics Medical Affairs Lead is expected to collaborate and communicate seamlessly with other members of the Medical Affairs team in order to perform activities in a compliant manner across a number of mature and new markets.

The Nordics Medical Affairs Lead will work in a multifunctional, matrix organization, working closely with colleagues within the medical affairs group (including field medical, medical operations, medical information, HEOR, and publication management), research & development, commercial, regulatory, and manufacturing. He/she will also collaborate with external collaborators as needed.. This includes also constant, qualitative interactions with CSL VIFOR Colleagues in countries where Seqirus and VIFOR collaborate on a commercial partnership.

The Nordics Medical Affairs Lead reports to the Regional Medical Head North and West Europe. He/She will work with Commercial, Communications, Regulatory, Clinical, Policy and Corporate Strategy to support and execute the strategic medical plans that scientifically differentiate our vaccines. This entails helping develop the expansion market medical strategy and then developing and implementing an operational medical plan in alignment with critical internal partners, including VIFOR. The Nordics Medical Affairs Lead will facilitate and lead launch activities across the region in partnership with country and global colleagues .

Accountabilities :
  • In partnership with countries and regional colleagues , the Nordics Medical Affairs Lead will develop and execute the expansion market medical plans in the Nordics. This includes working with internal and external stakeholders, following up appropriately, and keeping accountability. Key activities include KOL and NITAG engagement, evidence generation planning and work on regional medical activities. The Nordics Medical Affairs Lead will also be responsible for leading relevant advisory boards and maintaining a relationship with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the geo expansion countries
  • The Nordics Medical Affairs Lead will work with country and global medical teams to prepare EMEA markets for COVID and aQIVc launches. Activities could include launch planning , support for KOL mapping, material development, project leadership, symposium planning and oversight of vendors. This part of the role will work closely with the GMS
  • The Nordics Medical Affairs Lead will lead and/or contribute to functional projects for EMEA Medical in conjunction with regional stakeholders. The Nordics Medical Affairs Lead will deputise for, and/or represent, the Regional Head when required.

Requirements:
  • An advanced medical degree (i.e. MD, PhD, or PharmD, or equivalent).
  • 5-9+ years' medical affairs or related industry expertise with extensive knowledge and experience of product development/life cycle management in relevant therapy area and experience in biologicals.
  • Experience with vaccines and influenza an advantage

  • Ability to establish relationships within Seqirus and externally, including external experts/ KOLS/ healthcare professionals, professional associations and other key stakeholders

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize them based on business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with one or more external vendors
  • Demonstrated sound judgement and flexible approach to managing situations
