Summary:

The Business Continuity Specialist (BCS) assists in providing guidance to clinical, ancillary, and business units to complete actionable plans in cases of business disruption. Working under the direction of Director of Safety/Emergency Management, assists in the development and implementation of departmental Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and campus Continuity of Operations Plans (COOPs) that ensure CCHCS can respond to disasters to make certain that operations resume within a defined period of time and the amount of infrastructure and revenue loss is minimized. The BCS partners in the maintenance of and exercising departmental specific BCP processes, implementing organizational changes into the COOPs, assists with training staff on plans and procedures, and maintaining continuity program documentation. Maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment; adjust effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience Business Continuity, Emergency Management, Healthcare administration or related field.
  • At least 2 years Healthcare Business Continuity or Emergency Management experience preferred.
  • PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Web Browsers preferred.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:

  • Business Continuity Certified Planner (BCCP) within 2 years required.

Completion of Incident Command Systems Level 100, 200, 700, 800 preferred
