The Senior Consultant for Business Resilience is a senior role within the Second Line of Defence Risk Group in Computershare's Global Risk organisation, reporting to the Global Head of Business Resiliency.

A role you will love

As a Senior Business Resilience Consultant, you will be responsible for supporting and overseeing first line businesses in their management of operational resilience, including but not limited to Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.

Furthermore, you will work collaboratively across teams within the department, supporting continuous improvement and project related activity related to the role.

Although the role will be based in one of our UK offices, it will be responsible for supporting and overseeing CPU business lines which operate in the UK and the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for independent support and oversight for Business Resilience, acting as a challenging partner to UK and US business lines.
  • Support and oversee the implementation and ongoing management of the CPU Business Resilience Framework as well as understand and oversee regulatory requirements in each region. (FCA requirements for operational resilience in the UK)
  • Manage and respond to information security, BCP and risk-related enquiries from Computershare clients and regulators.
  • Supporting and overseeing the business in their identification of key and critical business processes.
  • Ensuring that the Major Incident Management Policy has been implemented adequately to ensure that CPU businesses can recover from major disruptions.
  • Partnering with colleagues within the Global Risk Group to ensure that processes in the GRC tool remain adequate and fit for purpose for all business resilience planning and execution activity.

What will you bring to the role?

The role requires previous experience in a risk advisory role preferably within a global company.

Here are the key skills we are looking for:

  • High level of experience in Business Continuity and Operational Resiliency (BIAs, BC plans, disaster recovery, recovery strategy, exercises, incident management, monitoring and reporting).
  • A successful track record as a risk manager with good knowledge of the operational and regulatory complexities impacting the business from a strategic, operational and change management perspectives.
  • A broad understanding across enterprise risk, operational risk, financial risk and IT risk.
  • Gravitas and the capability to provide constructive challenge to the business and ensure risks are addressed appropriately.
  • Strong analytical thinking and communication skills including the ability to research and understand complex processes and effectively communicate them to senior management.
  • Good stakeholder and relationship management skills.
  • Personal integrity, the ability to lead a small team (project basis) and take leadership of specific tasks and activities.
  • Self-starter with the ability to deliver under pressure.
