Position Summary

We are seeking two Postdoctoral Fellows to support two key new projects. The first project will focus on protein engineering to create novel, disease activated bifunctional biologics. The second project will have an emphasis on yeast display, library design, protein expression and characterization.

These projects are part of a collaborative effort, funded by the Wanek T1D grant, between the laboratories of Dr. Bart Roep and Dr. John Williams to treat Type 1 Diabetes. Experience in mammalian expression, protein purification, biophysical characterization (SPR, ITC, AUC and potentially X-ray and cryoEM), to cell based assays including but not limited to analytical cytometry and dissection of relevant signaling pathways is required. The end goal is to advance clinical candidate that will impact patient's life's.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, protein chemistry, biochemical engineering or related field with 1 to 3 years of postdoctoral experience
  • The ideal candidate will have a solid publication record
  • Fully versed in protein purification methods
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
