The Domestic Mobility Sr. Lead role will ensure compliant and effective oversight of the domestic mobility program, which ensures payroll compliance for Chick-fil-A, Inc. and related entity Staff traveling domestically. This role requires an ability to balance attention to detail alongside the broader program to identify solutions. This role will work with minimal supervision, requires effective project management skills, and should have deep knowledge and experience in state wage reporting/withholding requirements. As a Sr. Lead on the BPMS team, this individual will be responsible for complex assignments and leading large projects and programs independently.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for compliance of the existing domestic mobility program components, including policies, Staff experience, downstream payroll ramifications and overall system success
  • Improve processes with an emphasis on automation and understandability to ensure timely compliance in domestic jurisdictions, identifying root cause of issues and holding team, cross-functional partners and external vendor accountable to drive improvements
  • Provide technical leadership and partner well with multiple cross-functional partners including Tax, Talent, Payroll, HRIS, Digital Transformation and Technology, and Legal functions; ability to balance results and relationships
  • Collaborate extensively with the Payroll Center of Excellence, Payroll Operations and Payroll HRIS to ensure end-to-end process is accurate and seamless. Manage the review/validation of data inputs for regular payroll cycles with an understanding of various employee groups
  • Establish and monitor program success metrics, identifying potential process or policy changes; presentation of suggested changes to leadership
  • Serve as a resource for Staff members, exhibiting ability to concisely articulate complex information; exhibit a desire to serve that aligns with Chick-fil-A culture
  • Stay abreast of Domestic payroll trends and regulatory environment to ensure compliance
  • Handle highly confidential and sensitive information in strict accordance with Chick-fil-A, Inc.'s confidentiality and data security policies
  • Responsible for established vendor relationships and adherence of vendors to multiple statements of work, service level expectations, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Engage in development activities including department and team meetings, conferences, seminars, and interdepartmental engagement


Minimum Qualifications

  • Global Payroll experience - deep knowledge of mobility/payroll landscape
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel
  • Project management
  • Financial acumen
  • Extreme attention to detail, strong organization, and process improvement skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, including tact and diplomacy
  • 6-10 years' experience

  • Experience with Workday
  • Certified Payroll Professional
  • Certified Public Accountant
