Associate Director, Regional Pharmacist Operations Support

The Overview:

The Chewy Pharmacy Fulfillment network is seeking an Associate Director, Regional Pharmacist Operations Manager, to help scale our continuous growth.  This position requires a candidate with proven experience managing cross functional teams across multiple facilities.  The right person will be a natural people leader, responsible for building engaging teams and improving operational efficiency through strategic workflow planning and execution. This individual will be someone who likes dealing with ambiguity, data, and enjoys getting into the details to drive improvements every single day across a diverse group of stakeholders. The perfect candidate will also be able to manage projects while ensuring weekly, monthly, and annual strategic objectives are met. A customer-first mindset is critical for this role. You will be successful in this role because you are passionate about your business, your team, and delivering results through both direct and dotted line reporting structures.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with Pharmacist leadership across the network to improve Pharmacist-specific project integrations and labor planning. 
  • Proactively identify system opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and customer experience.
  • Ensure pharmacist staffing plans support business requirements and customer order demand.
  • Develop tools and reporting to benchmark pharmacist standards across multiple sites.
  • Develop business requirements and work directly with product partners to outline and prioritize system enhancements.
  • Develop training and on-boarding strategies for Pharmacist teams across the network, including defining L&D content requirements, on-boarding goals and reporting, and continuous training and development needs.
  • Create and implement a full project plan to standardize workflow across pharmacy network, ultimately enhancing the customer experience.
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple groups with competing priorities
  • Create genuine, effective relationships with cross-functional support teams.
  • Work with Pharmacist leadership to foresee, plan for, and avoid business issues before they occur.
  • Lead Pharmacist team through significant changes as needed.
  • Facilitate ongoing planning for projects and responsibilities in scope.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Pharmacist in good-standing in at least one state with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states as required;
  • 4 years’ experience in pharmacy, fulfillment distribution, or similar e-commerce operations. Deeply knowledgeable in key areas of expertise within Pharmacy.
  • Has the ability to partner to build and execute new initiatives with stakeholders across the organization. 
  • Think Big and push the boundaries of current pharmacist operations and be unsatisfied with the status quo.  
  • Ability to clearly communicate to all levels of leadership, verbally, written, and in-person. Ability to escalate when appropriate and willingness to do so.  
  • Is comfortable collaborating and influencing team members, working with development teams and other business groups, and building support for projects with senior leadership. 
  • Desire to understand and solve complex problems, with a proven ability to quickly adapt and drive the right results using data.
  • Has operational skills and understanding to identify and implement solutions that scale with our growth.
  • Ability to be self-directed with minimal oversight. 
  • Demonstrates ability to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing operating conditions while still delivering to expectations.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and a desire to advise strategic company decisions.
  • Results-oriented mentality, highly energetic, dynamic individual with hands-on mentality.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and occasional team lift of 68 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
