What you will be doing

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for Regional Pharmacy Operations as assigned
  • Drive operational improvements throughout the assigned regional pharmacy locations
  • Develop relationships with health care providers and patients and build on current relationships
  • Coach pharmacy staff on relationship development with health care providers and patients
  • Maintain and assist with the development, management and implementation of clinical and technical specialty pharmacy solutions
  • Assist in managing, auditing and supporting regional InnomarPharmacy locations and applicable network pharmacies
  • In conjunction with the Senior Director, lead in the development and execution of pharmacy and company strategic business plans
  • Analyze and implement processes and standards within operational activities to optimize pharmacy services
  • Manage accounting on billing and reconciliation relative to financial plan
  • Collaborate and liaise with the Distribution, Patient Programs, Clinics and Nursing divisions
  • Report Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards and, where applicable, internal and contractual obligations
  • Analyze operational data for trending, planning and efficiency purposes as required
  • Oversee, coach and guide the regional Pharmacy Managers in operational, relationship building and clinical tasks, including contracts, relationship development, training and procedures
  • Work with external and internal clients to design, build and implement new pharmacy services
  • Assist in the implementation of new pharmaceutical product launches with respect to the pharmacy services across Canada
  • Required to hold Pharmacy registration
  • Up to 30% of time required for travelling within Canada

What your background should look like

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Registered Pharmacist
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry (or similar)
  • Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations
  • Relevant management experience to understand, design and implement relations with KOLs
  • Experience in writing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ability to develop and negotiate contracts with physicians
  • Strong understanding in accounting, billing and accounts receivable
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory market with respect to Pharmacy & Nursing
  • Practice in specialty pharmacy is an asset
  • Bilingualism, French/English is an asset

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Strong communication, customer service, interpersonal and time management skills - ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to organize time, set priorities and multi-task in order to meet various competing work deadlines; attention to detail
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer)
