What you will be doing

Under the supervision of the Regional Operations & Customer Service Director, Latin America, is responsible for:

  • To be the primary contact for World Courier offices providing support and specific information of the active shipments, requirements and other projects, involving operations shared services team. Ser el contacto principal para las ubicaciones de las oficinas de World Courier para proporcionar soporte e información general y específica de envíos activos, requerimientos y otros proyectos, involucrando la equipo de servicios compartidos de operaciones.
  • Ensure that the designated activities executed are best in class, and in a timely manner, updating the respective activities in TMS, and avoiding delays for the Depot and Transportation areas. Asegurar que las actividades designadas son ejecutadas oportunamente, actualizando las respectivas actividades en TMS, evitando retrasos para las áreas de Deposito y Transporte.
  • Make sure that all shipments are handled in the most secure, and efficient way. Asegúrese de que todos envíos se envíen de la manera más segura, y eficiente;
  • All relevant customs regulations and country guidelines are adhered to for all imports and exports shipments. Se cumplan todas las regulaciones aduaneras relevantes y las pautas del país para todas las importaciones y exportaciones de envíos.
  • Ensure shipments run as smooth as possible through detailed pre-planning. Asegurar que los envíos se realicen de la manera más fluida posible mediante una planificación previa detallada.
  • To lead the OPS SSC Team, giving support and assuring operational excellence is always delivered. Liderar el Equipo OPS SSC, brindando apoyo y asegurando que se entregue la excelencia operativa;
  • Work alongside the Business Development Team and the Regional Business Development & Sales Director- Latin America to provide strategic support to sales strategies. Responsible to provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to our customers to uphold the reputation that sets us apart from our competitors. Trabajar con el equipo de Business Development y el Director Regional de Desarrollo de Negocios y Ventas, América Latina para brindar suporte a las ventas locales y apoyar la estrategia general de ventas.   • Coordinate the cooperation between his/her work area with all other areas of the company such that the flow of information is always friction-free, unfettered, and ensuring a positive comprehensive coordination.   • Constantly monitor oportunities and support the initiaves to expand the support to the region, evaluating tasks that can be performed, contributing directly to the definition of the capacity, onboard and transition plan for those activities.   • Review team structure and take proactive actions to allow sustainable growth and no rupture to the support offered to the countries, including plans to cover absences and replacements. Revisar la estructura del equipo y tomar acciones proactivas para permitir un crecimiento sostenible y no interrumpir el apoyo ofrecido a los países, incluidos planes para cubrir ausencias y reemplazos.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (DEBERES Y RESPONSABILIDADES PRINCIPALES):

  • Lead and support the team's growth, including but not limited to create development plans based on the Career Development Guide. Review and discuss individual cases with local HR and the line manager. Liderar y apoyar el crecimiento del equipo, incluyendo, pero no limitado a crear planes de desarrollo basados en la Guía de Desarrollo de Carrera. Revisar y discutir casos individuales con recursos humanos locales y el gerente de línea.
  • Support and handle more complex inquiries from clients and World Courier offices via the different existent channels in place. Soportar y manejar consultas más complejas de clientes y oficinas de World Courier por los diferentes canales de comunicación disponibles.
  • Ensure clients are receiving the highest level of Customer Service. Asegúrese de que los clientes reciban el más alto nivel de Servicio al Cliente.
  • Ensure the timely registration of charges associated with all shipments handled by the team in TMS. Asegurar el oportuno registro de cargos asociados a todos los envíos manejados por el equipo en TMS.
  • Constantly support research requirements and other activities related to the area of quality, permanently working closely. Apoyar de manera constante los requerimientos de investigación y otras actividades relacionadas al área de calidad, trabajando permanentemente de manera cercana.
  • Maintain a constant vision of innovation, improvement, growth, and development of the OPS SSC areas in order to explore new forms of support for the WC offices and tasks to be executed by the team, maintaining contact with all potentially benefited stakeholders (customers, offices, agents, etc). Mantener una constante visión de innovación, mejora, crecimiento y desarrollo de las áreas de OPS SSC en función de explorar nuevas formas de apoyo para las oficinas de WC y tareas ejecutadas por el equipo, manteniendo contacto con todos los stakeholders potencialmente beneficiados (clientes, oficinas, agentes, etc).
  • Monitor and track ongoing shipments, aiming to anticipate to any deviation from the plan. Monitorear y rastrear los envíos en curso, buscando anticipar a cualquier desviación del plan.
  • Ensure the proper Customer Service strategies and services to keep clients and World Courier offices updated to the status of their shipment, especially in regard to delays and/or temperature deviations.   • Determine the best packaging solution to be used for certain shipments, as well as the proper planning to ensure the temperature control when applicable.Determine qué solución de envío debe usarse para ciertos envíos y la debida planeación para asegurar el control de temperatura, cuando aplique.
  • Receive and manage the review/update reports of activities in TMS for the areas that make up the OPS SSC division Recibir y gestionar los reportes de revisión/actualización de actividades en TMS para las áreas que componen la división de OPS SSC
  • Work with regulations (ADR/DGR/IATA) as well as local laws and guidelines. Trabajar con las regulaciones (ADR / DGR / IATA), así como con las leyes y directrices locales.

  • Maintain reports and KPI's applicable for the region and the area. Mantener informes y KPI aplicables para la región y el área.

What your background should look like

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (EXPERIENCIA Y REQUISITOS ACADEMICOS):

  • College education and /or industry experience preferred (Se prefiere la educación universitaria y / o experiencia en la industria).
  • Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through a combination of experience and education. Normally requires two (2) to four (4) years directly related experience.Requiere una amplia capa citación en campos como administración de empresas, contabilidad, ventas, marketing, ciencias de la computación o vocaciones similares generalmente obtenidas a través de una combinación de experiencia y educación. Normalmente requiere de dos (2) a cuatro (4) años de experiencia directamente relacionada.
  • Full command of English. (Competencia en el idioma Inglés)
  • Excellent interpersonal relationships. (Excelentes relaciones interpersonales)
